Subject:
- Walking in the Spirit.
- The Fruit of the Spirit.
- Love: Temperance – Conclusion to this study.
- Law only condemns sin but not righteousness, how is it that we do not walk in the condemnation of our sin? Only by the blood of Jesus walking forward in Him, clothed in His righteousness.
- If we walk in the spirit there is no sin in it. If we do fall there is grace that we can stand again.
- We don’t have righteousness, Jesus does and He made a way for us to partake of it.
- The purpose of the law is to show us we sin and our need for a sacrifice, which is why Jesus had to come and walk without sin. To be the perfect sacrifice to lay His life down on our behalf.
- We are all sinners saved by the goodness and mercy of God.
- Sin is going to continually dwell in our flesh, it is up to us to choose to serve God with our mind.
- We need to know the utter desperation of how much we need God and that is what the law does for us. The law itself is not evil, even though it condemns us, we need to be condemned so we might be forgiven.
- Abraham knew he fell short of God and His goodness. He didn’t see himself as worthy. But he believed in the sacrifice for his salvation.
- As a man, Jesus was hung on the cross and all the sin of man was laid upon him.
- If we believe on Him, He clothes us in His righteousness. That is the only way we can be righteous.
- We can only inhabit Christ’s body by obedience.
- When we fall we can repent and stand in His grace.
- We are children, we fall a lot. We all learn to walk, and it is very easy to get hung up on our falls.
- We are faulty no matter how much we want to deny it or hide it.
- Jesus gives us the ability to continue on in Him.
- Keep our eyes on Jesus! Believe Him and keep on going in Him.
- He is able to present us faultless in our soul not our flesh.
- We need to let patience have her perfect work, knowing that God will finish the work He started.
- Qualifications for receiving the gifts of the Spirit are being born again and to be baptized of the Holy Spirit.
- It is not something that can be earned.
- The Fruit of the Spirit is acquired over time.
- Praise God, He will show us our short coming in a way that won’t overwhelm us to giving up.
- When we see things and come to that knowledge, it’s important to exercise our self in it and move forward.
- Our entire life should be a testimony to Him. We are servants to Him. The people need a people that are growing in the knowledge and ways of the Lord so He may be manifested in a dying world.
- Be patient with all men, just as we have not attained all the fruits of the spirit, they most likely haven’t as well. Be patient with ourselves as well.
- Paul claimed to be chief of sinners, showing Christ’s long suffering with him. Paul could be long suffering to others because he did not see himself as better then them.
- Paul chose to hope, even seeing himself.
- Praise God for the struggles, we can’t hold them against ourselves. We need to overcome them quickly, choose not to wallow in them. There is no reason to lack hope. There is nothing that separates us from God’s love.
