  • 1 Corinthians 13
  • Psalms 23:4

Studies used:

Subject:

  • Philippians 1
  • Bond servant: a slave, bond man, servant
  • Paul and Timotheus called themselves  bondmen or  servants of Jesus Christ.
  • Grace and Peace given to all those who believe, they had authority to give it.
  • Every time the people came into Paul’s mind, he prays for them and does it joyfully. They were a people who had received the gospel and continued in it. It gave Paul joy.
  • We are all works in progress of the Lord.
  • The Thessalonians were hearers and doers. Other churches were not there yet but Paul ministered to them with joy.
  • Paul had a confidence in God for the Philippians’ sakes. He stood in a place of hope in Christ for the people.
  • Paul is the greatest of the new testament to walk the gospel out and defend it.
  • God confirmed his word through the things Paul did and said.
  • Paul’s heart and mind was in the ministering of the reconciliation of the people.
  • Knowledge is something that comes through  the obedience to the Lord. There is a diligence needed to learn Christ and obedience.
  • We need to be taught how to walk in agape love.
  • Judgement and knowledge speak about discernment. We know what the word says and that’s what we bring.
  • The Word is the only thing to judge by.
  • We need to be willing to have the things of the Lord manifest.
  • Till the day of Christ, which come to people at different times, we will have that day when we meet Him, and hopefully when we stand before Him, we will have served him rightly.
  • Let Him use us and bear His fruits of righteousness and be as Paul and Timotheus.
Not just being hearers of the word but doers of the word. Submitting ourselves to our authorities and being obedient to them.
  • He shows  up with obedience and the humbleness to be corrected, to learn to fall down, but stand up again in hope in Jesus.
  • Take that word that we hear and choose it over every natural defense that our flesh throws at us, against it.
  • Paul’s bonds were used of God to the accomplishment of what he was sent to do for Christ.
  • Paul was a candle that was well lit and manifesting the truth.
  • It is a blessing for us to have our authorities  to go to, who have already passed through tribulations and such and come to the other side of them, and can direct you in a right way to deal with them and show that it is possible to pass through.
  • The people were strengthened out of fear by Paul’s serving Christ.
  • What Paul preached was in perfect alignment with the Word.
  • Paul had been set like concrete to defend the gospel and he did.
  • The only thing Paul judged was what was against the gospel, with singleness of mind and willing to receive anything that came back at him. The gospel is the only thing worth giving.
  • Paul did not see himself as important, he saw Christ as important.
  • If we are making it about how we look then we are putting on a show and are not seeking a true relationship with Christ.
  • Paul has an earnest expectation that he would not be ashamed, he chose to believe God and give all for Him.
  • In the end everyone will know that what Paul did and where he stood was sure. He will not be ashamed!
  • God has always had a people that are willing to submit themselves and be used for the Lord’s glory. Paul is one of those.
  • God knows a right way to use a people if we will let Him.
  • Paul’s life is Christ’s!
  • We can all be thankful for the relationships the Lord has put in place us to learn obedience to him; Authorities in this flesh.
  • His rod and His staff comfort me.
  • We need keeping. We need to know and be thankful for that keeping.
  • Paul was willing to stay on the earth for their furtherance not for his own self.
  • We don’t need those in authority to be present for us to walk the way we should. The Lord does see how we walk in their presence or not in their presence.
  • We are going to suffer for Christ’s sake. We are His representative and the same rejection Christ bore when he walked the earth, we are called to suffer.
  • We should all be like Stephen and Paul standing in that which we know, which is the gospel and the truth.
  • God’s judgement comes so we can learn and grow and be how he is.
