Subject:
- Walking in the Spirit.
- The gifts of the Spirit: Discernment
- The devil has created a counterfeit type of discernment called e.s.p. The enemy can take things of the Lord and twist them to use against people.
- Discernment helps to get to the root of the issue or the root of the need.
- It can be seeing a thing or coming to know a thing that only the Spirit of the Lord would reveal unto a person.
- Believe not every spirit, there are many false spirits. Use the gift of discernment to try the spirits and know which are true and which are false.
- Trying a spirit is checking it with the Word and seeing where it points your hope to? To the Lord or other things?
- You can’t know a spirit unless you be of the spirit of God. This requires that you know the Lord and the Word.
- It’s not the believer who does the work but the Spirit.
- The spirit of antichrist originated with satan, but is also anything that turns one from the Lord.
- We overcome by faith in Jesus Christ and by that hope.
- If we know God we will hear His People. We will recognize His people.
- These gifts are given to benefit the body to increase the body. Just because there is still the spirit of truth doesn’t mean you don’t speak the truth to them, sometimes the spirit of error is not seen until the truth is brought.
- If we will learn to walk in the knowledge that the very same thing Jesus did, we can do likewise, knowing the very same way Jesus ministered we can minister and the Spirit and the power will accompany every time.
- The Spirit is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart.
- Don’t let people’s rejection of the Lord discourage us from preaching the Gospel and performing miracles for the glorification of the Lord.
- Unless we are willing to be obedient to bring the Gospel, the blood of those who reject is on our hands, but if we do their blood is on their own hands.
- God exercises His Agape love through His servants until we get it.
- The time is now, to do something about that salvation He has given us, to glorify Him.
- Discernment is needful to know what to pray for.
- The Apostles have the gifts at all times but are available to those who need it for ministering.
- In the absence of the Apostle the gifts remain for the benefit of the body.
- We can also be the beneficiary of another discerning a thing and have the same discernment because they were faithful and shared that discernment.
