- The story of Jesus’s resurrection. The women brought spices to the sepulchre to anoint Him and didn’t find Him there.
- The women ran to tell the others He was resurrected, and they didn’t believe them.
- Peter ran to the sepulchre and also wondered in himself at what had come to pass.
- The story of the two walking to Emmaus, talking about the happenings, and Jesus joined them.
- Jesus opened up all the scriptures concerning Him to the two men He was traveling with. Their eyes were opened when He took bread, blessed it and brake it and gave it unto them.
- Jesus came and stood in the midst of the disciples, they thought He had been a spirit.
- He asked them to handle Him and see that He was flesh and bones. He ate before them.
- He opened their understanding to the scriptures and said this is why He had to die on the cross.
- He sent the promise of the Father upon them.
- They worshipped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
- They continually praised and blessed God.
- It was a time of great sorrow (in chapter 23) turned to victory in this chapter.
