Speakers:
- Steve Atherton
- Megan Atherton
Scriptures used:
- Psalms 105
Subject:
- Let us love one another. It is a commandment that doesn’t come naturally to us.
- Sometimes it doesn’t occur to us to pray for someone in need.
- We need to show our love for the Lord by asking Him to direct us to minister unto others, even at those inconvenient times.
- For example, Samuel was called by the Lord in his sleep. Whether he liked it or not he got up.
- Look for opportunities to be compassionate, and show kindness to someone else.
- Convenience accords with us. Make it about Him and others. If you do that, the Lord will move.
- Give thanks unto the Lord. Love one another as He loved us. That is not natural. He doesn’t edify our natural man.
- When you get nervous about things, sing songs unto Him, praise Him. He moves mightily on our behalf.
- Talk about the things He has done to give encouragement to others, and it will remind ourselves also.
- We can rejoice because of the hope we have, through experience. We rejoice in anticipation of the Lord answering our prayer.
- We feel inadequate but His strength is perfect for all these situations.
- We exercise faith in seeking His strength, then we have a rebirth of hope.
- We learn by His judgments. They are clear.
- The story of the faith of the Syrophenician woman.
- We are more than conquerors through Him. If we don’t walk in it we don’t believe it.
- He gave everyone faith to believe God. We can do this. The flesh doesn’t believe God.
- The flesh is the enemy of the walk of faith. You overcome the carnal man to believe Jesus.
- If we don’t take His marching orders and do them, why would He help us?
- When the people didn’t listen to the prophets, it turned out bad for those people.
- Joseph was faithful to Potipher despite how he was treated, in each capacity. Then he ruled over the people.
- It is important to shew His marvelous works as well as to talk about them. Israel went from slavery to spoiling the others. That is the power of God.
- The children of Israel died int he desert, and didn’t believe. The ones who entered in walked in His wondrous works. This is what testifies that we believe.
- If you believe God you will walk in His wondrous works, and He will confirm the Word with signs following.
- If we don’t do that, how are people to know Him?
