Subject:
- Walking in the Spirit.
- The Fruit of the Spirit.
- Examples of Meekness continued.
- The church of the Thessalonians was the one church who had entered into the fullness of Jesus Christ and followed after Paul’s instruction to them.
- Paul, Silvanus and Timotheus gently exhorted them to keep it up.
- All too often we want people to pay a price for their wrong doing to us, but if we are as Christ we will instead desire for them to seek and receive the forgiveness of Christ and salvation for their soul.
- Sin is Sin, there is no sin greater than any other. All sin comes from unbelief.
- How can a sinner who is been saved by the grace of God consider themselves good in their natural man in any way?
- Our whole dependence for the good that we partake of are through Christ Jesus. We can’t even take credit for any good thing in us.
- We need to hear and walk, we can’t say we have heard and expect it to have any value less we walk in it.
- The Thessalonians glorified God.
- When we get struck on one cheek we turn the other it means we’re not knocked down and we don’t strike the other down either.
- We should want for others, the complete washing away of their sins as well, we should not want evil for anyone.
- We are so quick to turn and not really give a damn about others. Meekness is to be willing to stand for the sake of others.
- All who will be the Lord’s servant can partake of the same things Jesus did while He walked here on earth. Example: He shall not fail nor be discouraged.
- We can not take offense when people reject us. Jesus was rejected by those whom he died for.
- Our job is to preach the true gospel, if people reject that, they are rejecting Jesus not us.
- Meekness is being pleased to serve. There is a joy in serving one another.
- When Jesus came, those who walked through and were broken, he healed and didn’t continue to brake them. Jesus is not there to beat us up or break us, he is there to heal.
- Preach the gospel and show it. We do that in meekness when people reject and we continue with them or for them in Christ not resenting them for their rejection.
- And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
- That being fit just means we aren’t ready, there are things we must pass through to help us get ready or fit for the Kingdom of God.
- We need to walk in hope.
- The fact that what Jesus suffered was what was going to redeem all who would come, it was well worth it. Any sufferings that we go through done in the spirit of love through the knowledge of God for the sake of another’s salvation is meekness.
- If we want to walk in the right way doing the right thing, spend time in prayer and take advantage of those the Lord has given us. He has given us what we need, to do as He did, it is up to us to receive it.
- What true repentance is; being sorry and doing the opposite, changing direction.
- We need to walk in faith that the Lord is able to strengthen me in His ways.
- Part of the Lord’s provision and answer comes through others. We need to take the provision from Him that He so wants to give us.
- How are we going to learn of Him?
- Bring things to the light and avail ourselves to Him.
- God has a plan and we can take part of it. We need to walk the walk that Jesus walked, and it is not vengeful.
- Jesus knew Judas was the one to betray him but treated him no different than the others.
- The people mentioned in Hebrews 11 are examples of meekness, it is going forth in what the Lord has given us no matter what. Example spoke of, Gideon.
- The devil doesn’t make us do anything that we don’t want to do. Just as the Lord doesn’t make us do anything we don’t want to do. So just because it’s not of God doesn’t make it of the devil.
- Just because we make rotten decisions doesn’t mean God can’t redeem them.
- Love doesn’t think evil.
