TFM-South-CarolinaSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller
  • Phillip Walthall

Scriptures used:

  • James 4:1-6
  • Psalm 51:12-18
  • Matthew 28:5-6
  • 1 Corinthians 13:5-6
  • Colossians 3:3

Subject:

  • The nature of man wants to take things and turn them into a religion. People turn the gift of the Lord into a burden; by thinking they have to earn it, to become deserving of it.
  • The point of the gospel, the point of Christ dying on the cross and being risen again is so we may have a relationship with Jesus just as He did with the Father.
  • We should be His ambassador.
  • What are we about? What do we do with the opportunity to have a relationship with Christ?
  • Are you being loyal to the Lord? He laid down His life that we may partake of all the good things that He has.
  • Are we seeking to really partake in the Lord’s plan or our own thing?
  • When you come to the truth and be honest with yourself, say I’m sorry for the things I’ve made it, it’s all about you; He’ll forgive you. Those things that were held against you are dropped.
  • Are we about magnifying the Lord? Or ourselves?
  • If He can save a wretch like me then He can save a wretch like you.
  • Do we take that gift of God, the relationship He’s given us to have? Are we about knowing Him? Are we making Him first in our lives? Are we taking that gift and glorifying Him with it?
  • We can have a perfect relationship with Jesus Christ and our Father. I can never be good, but I can have a perfect relationship with Him.
  • He’s called us to be that perfect unit.
  • In Jesus Christ we have the opportunity to learn to walk as He walked.
  • His sacrifice was received and our sin was covered.
  • There’s no justification apart from Jesus Christ. By faith in Him we become partakers of His righteousness, His uprightness, and His perfection; we are covered by His grace and His mercy.
  • The love of the father who denied not his only son, that we may have life is the love spoken of in 1 Corinthians 13.
  • You can’t be perfect, He can. When you’re hid within Him you take on His righteousness.
  • We partake of the mediation by telling others of His gift.
