TFM-Hour-of-TruthSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller
  • Phillip Walthall

Scriptures used:

  • Matthew 18:3
  • Colossians 3:12-13
  • Hebrews 10:19-25
  • Matthew 11:28-30
  • Matthew 6:34
  • Colossians 2:21
  • Psalm 51

Subject:

  • By nature we are selfish and always looking out for number one, ourselves.  You must choose to forgive people and extend grace and mercy to people for their trespasses against us because doing these things do not come naturally to us.
  • Almost everything we do is contrary to what God would have us do, because we want to do things our own way because of pride, and people think they are right all the time and their way is better than everybody else’s way, even God’s way.  To do what God would have you do is a fight against our natural man.  The natural man never wants to do things God’s way.
  • If you want to receive the things of God you must humble yourself and believe and trust God in all things.  All doubt must be cast away.  When you are converted to Christ you need to become as a child and believe everything He says just like a child believes everything their parents tell them.
  • Come unto Jesus and He will give you rest from your burdens and heavy labor.
  • Don’t worry about tomorrow.  Why be concerned about what hasn’t happened yet?  You have enough to deal with today.
  • Don’t compare yourselves with other people.  It’s too easy to find fault with others and then think highly of yourself.  Compare yourself to Jesus, He is the standard.
  • God knows we will make mistakes and dumb decisions because that is what we do. Always turn to God with these things and let Him set you right again.
  • Exhorting one another and provoke unto love and good works is a must in the body of Christ.
  • Don’t forgive people because they need it so much as you forgive people because you need it. You need to forgive people so you can receive forgiveness from God. Why should God forgive you if you won’t forgive others?
  • Just because you’ve been told Jesus’ blood covers your sins and you have learned to say and repeat it to others doesn’t mean that you believe it yourself.  DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT for yourself?
