• We hear about walking in the Spirit, putting off the old man and putting on the new man, casting things off but it seems most people hear this and say Amen but somehow never seem to get off the ground.  You hear it and can agree with it but don’t know how to do it.
• When you look at people in the natural and judge people in the natural that means you’re in the natural, you are living in the world.  You may quote scripture to justify your judgments, but every one of us are sinners and our flesh and fleshly mind dwells in the world.  So how does one overcome living in the world?
• Take an example God has given us:  every invisible thing is clearly manifest by the physical things God has made.  So liken the world to gravity.  Gravity is something that holds us to this planet.  If you had no gravity and started flying away you’d lose oxygen pretty quickly.  The law of gravity holds you to this earth.  The 2nd law of nature is the law of lift.  The Wright Brothers created something that didn’t do away the law of gravity, it superceded the law of gravity.
• You need to learn to walk under the law of the Spirit.  You will start off like the Wright Brothers, fly and land back on the ground again in just a little way.  But if you keep that up long enough and strengthen your spirit through prayer, the Word and practicing those things that are in the law of lift (the Spirit) then you will no longer be like the Wright Brothers plane, you’ll be in an SR71 Blackbird and you will take off and fly.  It’s all up to you.
• The things of the world you have to put off, God is not going to do it for you.  That means when your authority asks you to do a thing, if you’re not in the right frame of mind you will murmur and complain, you have to put that off and put on (by faith in Christ) an attitude of “yes Sir no problem”.
• There was a man who came through the ministry who said that the Lord had showed him to do whatever Brother Davy told him to do.  So Brother Davy told him to go to Maryland and to do unto Brother Steve whatsoever he would do unto Brother Davy.  He wouldn’t do it, because he didn’t believe.
• Do we believe in Jesus, believe in the Apostles also.  Do you believe in the Apostles, believe in the prophets also, the evangelists, the pastors and the teachers who have proven themselves to be of God and shown that they walk with God.
• When you don’t need to testify of who you are, God will testify of you.
• We can forget to operate in the law of lift (walking in the spirit).  It’s something you have to continuously remind yourself.
• You have to set your affections on those things that are above, not those things that are here and that will not last.  Those things that are above will be forever.
• Whether you set your affections on those things above is nothing to me, because whether you do or you don’t will not affect my place in eternity one bit.
• The one place we have to be selfish, covetous in is getting to heaven and being with the Lord.  The rest of it doesn’t matter.
• You have to love God with all your soul, strength and mind and you have to love one another.
• You have to forget the things of the past because they lock you down on this earth, as long as you’re chained to this earth you cannot fly.
• We don’t compare ourselves amongst ourselves, we compare ourselves to Jesus and we will lose every single time.
• Love your employer as unto the Lord, serve them as unto the Lord and who knows, you may win them to the Lord.
• Husbands, love your wives.  Love them enough to be truthful with them even when you know you’re not going to like the response you get back.
• Bury the past, because it’s dead and can’t do anything good, it’s just going to stink and drag you down.
• As you get stronger you will soar.
• Only by going through trials and tribulations can the choice you make be yes Lord.
• When you say “Why Lord, is this or that happening” it is a judgment on God.
• Someone who loves the Lord is going through a trial or tribulation because the Lord wants to bless them.  God allows tribulation to happen, but He doesn’t put it on us and He doesn’t allow it to happen forever.
• Whatsoever things you shall believe shall be done unto you.  If you want to believe the world “You have COPD and you’ll never be healed”, you can believe it and die.  However if you choose to believe His word and ask Him anything in His sons name and believe it, He will do it.
• The Spirit is of the Spirit, the world is of the world and they do not mingle.  You cannot be of the world and claim to be of the Spirit and vice versa.
• Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  That knowledge is the knowledge of the Word of God.
• We have to take the knowledge in the Word of God, from those in authority over us and if we reject it, it puts us in a very bad place.
• The knowledge of God has been rejected and people don’t want to do what God would have them do.
• He that doeth the will of God abideth forever.  We need to desire all that we can be in Jesus giving Him all the glory.
• 1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
