Studies Referenced:

Subject:

  • Paul is seeking to bring the Galatians back into the truth.
  • Salvation isn’t by works or worthiness.
  • Abraham’s two sons, Ishmael and Isaac, Ishmael the son of a bondwoman, Isaac the son of a free woman.  As is our flesh (firstborn) the child of bondage, our spirit (second born) the child of freedom.
  • The law is bondage that cannot be kept, we can and should walk by faith.
  • Mt. Sinai in comparison to Jerusalem.
  • Believers know the truth and press forward to stand in it, regardless of the mistakes they make.
  • Doubt is not believing what God says.  Believe what God says and take Him at His word.
  • Islam comes from Ishmael who are the children of bondage that persecute the children of promise, as does our flesh to our spirit.  The same salvation is there for all if they will turn to the Lord.
  • Our acceptance was purchased on the cross, Jesus trumps our flesh.
  • Walk in the spirit by walking by faith.
  • Get past ourselves and others, love the soul.
