TFM-Northfield-VermontSpeakers:

  • Steven Atherton
  • Karen Hocker
  • Robin Atherton

Scriptures used:

  • Romans 8:35
  • Philippians 4:8
  • Matthew 7:7
  • James 1

Subject:

  • Who separates us from God?  Us.  Not Him.
  • Vain repetition is empty.
  • Start your day by faith in Christ Jesus.
  • We have the responsibility of having faith in The Lord.
  • Battle to believe notwithstanding our day.
  • He gives us the opportunity to enter in, war a good warfare and not back down.  We partake in that victory by faith.
  • Count it all joy when we fall.  It’s not about us.
  • We know our weaknesses, we can know His strength.
  • Submit to the Word.
  • Forget those things that are behind but don’t forget God.
  • Virtue:  power.
  • We are supposed to believe in the power of God to believe he will bring us through.
  • Stand up and take God at his word, enter in and partake of the fullness  of the provision of The Lord by faith notwithstanding our flesh.
  • These things you have heard and seen, do, and the God of peace shall be with you.
  • We have seen that God is with those above you, you  have the opportunity to learn, take that responsibility to learn and grow.
  • Matt 7:7 – Ask and it shall be given you…
  • God’s love is an absolute
  • Do you believe that if you ask you will receive?
  • If you don’t believe you won’t ask
  • Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, power, love are all there for us to receive.
  • You’re evil, so if you want to give good things to your children, how much more will God want to do that for you?
  • Did we dream of becoming a slave when we were young?
  • Begin the day with recognition of our need for him.
  • James chose to become a slave unto him who can do all things.
  • The master provides everything for the slave.
  • James, half brother of Jesus
  • Jude, another half brother of Jesus
  • Temptations don’t separate us from the love of God – good news for us!
  • Count it all joy.  We have to count it joy because it doesn’t feel good
  • If we wrong someone, we need to apply the blood of Jesus to wash it all away.  We could never do this ourselves.
  • He takes what is un-redeemable and turns it around.
  • Be patient and hope in his grace, love, kindness.
  • Have patience with ourselves, or we would give up.
  • You can be perfect, the world says nobody’s perfect.  We can’t be perfect in the flesh but we can in the faith.
  • The word says I can do all things through Christ , so we can do anything through Him.
  • He promises we can partake of His life.
  • If we lack wisdom – He gives to all men liberally.  It SHALL be given him.
  • Have we ever asked him?
  • Upbraideth not -He loves us and wants us to have these things.
  • Ask in faith nothing wavering… Wavering is unbelief
  • And if you are double minded, we will not receive.
  • Do we want God’s approval or man’s?
  • You can’t have both.
  • God is black and white.
  • The world is everywhere in between those.  Put off what the world says and put on what the Word says.
  • Don’t ask for things to consume it upon our lusts.  That is pride, God resists  the proud and gives grace unto the humble.
  • We try every way but His way to get what we want, then we say it’s His fault
  • Don’t stop till you get it.  He wants us to get it.
  • Thank God he is merciful.
