- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please Him.
- If you want to please God, put all your faith in Him. If you claim to love Him, you must put all your faith in Him.
- We wouldn’t be pleased if people lied and didn’t keep their word to us, but that’s what we do to the Lord.
- How can we expect to get answers to prayer if we continue making promises to God and do not fulfill the promises we make?
- Our prayers aren’t answered because our faith is in the wrong place, we don’t believe God will deliver and He cannot reward unbelief (sin).
- We need to put our faith in Jesus and please Him for a change.
- The parable of the wedding feast.
- The wedding garment was always provided by the grooms father, so when the King sent his servants out to bring them in, they went out with the garments. The rich would have robes, the poor would have a shawl. They were marked by the tribe.
- This goes back to Joseph and the coat of many colors. Each of the brothers had their own colors and markings, but Joseph had them all and that’s why they were so jealous.
- There was a man who wasn’t invited to the wedding, he didn’t belong there and he thought he would crash the party. You had to be invited. We are invited to the marriage supper of the lamb by God and Jesus’ death on the cross (that’s the invitation), when we receive Christ as Lord and Savior we receive the righteousness of God. We don’t get the cloak of the son, we get the cloak of the Father. When we show up with that, we are accepted. When we show up without that cloak, we are rejected.
- Wearing polyester would break the law.
- You have already broken the law if you don’t go to the Temple every year and you can’t go there because there is no longer a temple. So you have to walk by faith in the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
- If we love the Father, we will do what pleases the Father. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. The body is never mentioned because the body is cursed.
- The spirit of Cain and Abel are still alive today.
- The man who walked into the wedding feast walked in as Cain, not as Abel.
- Many are called, few are chosen, this refers to the Seed of Adam and the Elect Seed. The Elect are pre-ordained. The called are the seed of Adam. The neat thing is that if you are called and accept Christ, you are equal with those who are predestined. You have the same inheritance and are adopted and become a member of the body just like any other.
- Let us not look to serve God with the flesh, but rather to serve Him with the spirit and mind. This means do not harm one another.
