TFM-Hour-of-TruthSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller
  • Phillip Walthall
  • James Eutsler

Scriptures used:

  • James 5:16
  • Psalms 51
  • Matthew 17:20
  • Luke 18:1-7

Subject:

  • A Word About Prayer
  • Confess your faults one to another.
  • Fervent prayer.  Be fervent in your prayers.  Being serious about what it is you are praying for.  Don’t let go of what you are after.  Pray for something and then thank the Lord for it until you receive it.  But don’t annoy God about it.  Believe that you have received it.  Trust it has already been accomplished if it is according to His will.
  • Don’t pray for things that are of a selfish motive or of evil intent.
  • Confess your faults one to another but confess your sins to God.  There is a difference between a fault and a sin.  You can only sin against God.  A fault is more of a character flaw that offends another.
  • Praying for others heals you.  Praying for others is a way of putting others before yourself and shows humility.
  • Be effectual in prayer.  Being active in an efficient and mighty way.
  • If you have the faith of a mustard seed nothing shall be impossible unto you.  It is not about the size of the seed but about the type of faith.  The mustard seed will not give up until it gets what it is after (the sunlight).  A strong faith will not give up either until you receive what it is you are after according to Gods will.
  • You cannot give up when praying.  Believe you will receive what you pray for.  Expect it because the Lord is good.  Anything less than expectation is unbelief and not understanding the character of God.
  • What does the word prayer mean?  It is a petition or request that you make to God in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • The prayers of a righteous man are forceful and strong.  This is the type of prayer that should be brought forth as believers in Christ.
  • Take what God has given you seriously, not trusting in your own abilities but trusting in Gods ability and what He is able to do.
