- This week we needed a lot of patience with the power down. It was a lesson in patience with all who are connected with the correction of the problem.
- We need to practice patience, practice what the Lord wants us to do, and not lash out at others. The Lord gives us opportunities to practice what He wants us to do.
- God gives His Word and it is our job to go out and spread it.
- To spread that Word, we need to have that wisdom and the knowledge to know his Word.
- Listening is very important, it takes patience.
- If we go out and make disciples of all the world as we go out, we must remember what the Word says, we need to know the Gospel.
- If we want to be stable, if we want to have our house built on that rock, we have to be single minded, we have to be doing the one thing. If we are all doing that one thing we are strong because the Lord can move through us.
- If our mind is on that truth single-mindedly we are getting it right but when we depart from it we are getting it wrong.
- The Word of God is truth, we have to accept that truth in its entirety and dwell in it. We can’t go “cherry picking” what suits us.
- We need to let the truth show us where we fall short, have patience with ourselves, growing and changing, to come in line with that single-mindedness.
- We need to study the Word to know the truth, live it, love it and want more of it.
- Profane and vain babblings – lies, pride, false doctrines, things we put up to separate ourselves from the truth and join ourselves to because they make us feel good.
- If we are saying one thing and doing another and picking and choosing we are double-minded and unstable.
- All lies we tell join us to Satan who is the Father of lies. A tiny lie leads to more lies which makes our life a lie, we become a prisoner in bondage to that lie and in service to Satan. We place ourselves there. But how do we get out?
- If we claim to be of God, do we hear the truth? Do we hear the words spoken to us? We need to hear all not just some of it.
- If we want to be free, to know the truth which makes us free, and to walk in the power of God, then we need to get rid of all the crap we’re carrying around and stop going back to the lies.
- We may be embarrassed but that makes us humble and if we are humble then the Lord can work with us.
- Make the choice this day to move forward in truth – you can get there.
