Subject:

• The joy of the Lord can only be found “IN” the Lord.  Lay down your life and seek God and His ways and learn to walk in His Spirit.  Set your focus on Jesus instead of the world.  How can you receive the Lords joy if you are always looking to the world for joy?  The joy is in Him and His salvation.
• Humble yourself and understand that we are not acceptable in ourselves.  We are only acceptable in the blood of Jesus Christ.  We are full of sin.  The blood of Jesus is the only way to wash away that sin.  Humble yourself and believe that to receive the joy of the Lord.
• Have you ever asked God for something and the answer was no?  Looking back on it later you realized that it would have been more harmful to you than good.  It is a joy to know that we have a Father in heaven who is looking out for us and loves us enough to tell us no.
• Trust the Lord at all times that His works in the present is to our good in the future.  Often we don’t see that while we are going through tough times.  It is down the road a ways before we can look back and see it.  The more experience we have in that the easier it becomes to have faith in Him during our tribulations.
• To have peace and joy with God you must give unconditional surrender to Him.  In order to have peace we must cease to war against or fight.  Stop fighting God and surrender to Him!
• Blessed are the peacemakers.  The peacemakers are those who make their peace with God.  Not people who try and make peace with the world or try to get people to have peace with one another.
• Be joyful for the things that God has given you.  Don’t be envious of those who seem to have much who have gotten it by the way of evildoing.  Don’t be envious of anybody.  But it is hard to watch people who are “getting ahead” in this world and getting the nicer things that this world has to offer and not think that you would like to have them also.  But remember, If they don’t have Jesus and all they care about are the nicer things of the world they really have nothing in the end.
• Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father.  You CANNOT get around Jesus.  You WILL NOT get to the Father in prayer or salvation but through Jesus.  JESUS, JESUS, JESUS!!!!!
• God knows and understands the hard things that tend to pile up on us at times that make us weary.  He will send the comforter to us in time of need.  He knows we need it and He loves us and will provide that comfort for us because he cares for us as a loving Father does.
