Where We Came From
Lyrics by Richard D. Eutsler, Jr.
Today when you look around do you see all the lost
Or do you only see how much it will cost
To help the ones that have been left for dead
Or have you forgotten where we came from?
Let’s take a look back into our history
Do you remember the one who set you free
What if he had been too busy to go to calvary
Where would that put you, you and me?
Oh dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me
I’ve been selfish, stubborn and ashamed of you
Today that changes and I’ll share your love
I won’t forget again, where I’ve come from.
What will you do with the gift he gave
Go bury it in the back yard and save it for that day
When he comes back to see just what you’ve done
With the gift of his only son.
Oh dear Lord Jesus, please forgive us
We’ve been selfish, stubborn and ashamed of you
Today that changes and we’ll share your love
We won’t forget again, where we’ve come from
We won’t forget again, where we’ve come from
We won’t forget again, where we’ve come from
