Subject:

  • Tithes, Offerings and Alms.
  • Without tithing the alms and offerings aren’t accepted.
  • God commands the tithe but He promises a distinct blessing. He says prove Him. God will answer a prayer lifted up from a faithful tithe.
  • A tithe is part of that activity of faith that we should be pleased to do, in His Kingdom. It should be an honor to support the work of the Lord. It is well pleasing to God when we are about His business.
  • Some people expect when they tithe to  receive money back, that may not be the case. Don’t limit God in how He is going to bless you. You can see the enormities of the blessing of God on the faithful who do tithe. There are also spiritual blessings, He honors those who recognizes the value of all that God has given us. Part of the blessing is the people we have over us.
  • The tithe, offering and alms are given in faith and in joy, not because you have to. It will not go unnoticed by God.
  • Be clear that the tithe is NOT something that was nailed to the cross as the law was.
  • Nehemiah recognized the Levites portion was God’s and they did not get land. The people did not tithe to support the Levites, so they had to go work in the fields and were unable to minister and be fully about all the Lord’s business.
  • When the Lord was asked what His name is and the Lord answered “I Am” , it is the same thing with tithes: “It Is the Lord’s”.
  • Melchizedek is Jesus Christ. Abraham tithed unto Jesus.
  • Hebrews 13 doesn’t have anything to do with the United States Government, it has everything to do with God’s Government.
  • Those who have the rule over us do watch for our souls and do give account. They have a responsibility to minister and bring those under them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  • The tithe is due to he who ministers the Word unto you. It is those who know the Lord who are called upon to support the work of the Lord.  It is not for the unbelievers to pay tithe.
  • It is the believer’s duty to tithe to those who minister in spiritual things. Also, giving carnal things to support the ministering.
  • Paul’s pleasure in the people tithing wasn’t because he got money but because it bears fruit in the Lord.
  • If we don’t support our ministers they will not be able to go forth and do the work of the Lord.
  • Don’t be deceived, God is not mocked. It is not works righteousness, you are not considered righteous because  you tithe. It really shows where our hearts are, what we value. The things of this world?  Or the things of the Lord?
  • We need to look to ourselves and ask why we don’t tithe if we don’t.  In most instances it is greed. Sometimes it is because we can’t afford it but that is when we step out in faith and trust in the Lord’s provision.
  • Tithing also rebukes the devourer. You can know the faithfulness of God.
