Subject:

  • When we get bogged down in our worldly lives and start giving heed to those things, we are giving in to Satan.  We are not desiring the things of God and dying to ourselves.
  • If we desire the things of God and we stand upon His Word, rightly divide it, show others His love, share Christ with them – then we are dying to ourselves, then the difficulties don’t matter –  we just go on.
  • If we are getting it right in the Lord we become that salt which holds back corruption on the earth.  Are we as salty as we should be?  There is work to be done and that work can only be achieved in Christ. We need to know His Word, preach and sometimes use words, and move forward in Him.  Let’s change the default position of our minds from the things of the earth and set them to the things of God.
  • “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”
  • Communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Communicate means to support, to supply, to give. If you are taught you are to support the one who teaches you. Ministers are supposed to be supported by their congregation, those who they teach.
  • If you communicate with those who teach you are sowing.
  • Will a man rob God?   There is a law of sowing and reaping, of blessing and cursing.
  • Law of sowing and reaping works like this: your tithes are what you owe God, he supports his ministers through the tithe, the minister is serving God and the tithe goes to the minister.  If churches were set up properly every 10-12 people would have their own pastor. They would tithe to that minister who would tithe upwards to the ones above him, and the ones above him.  Offerings are to the church to maintain the buildings, and your alms to the poor.
  • It is like a man who goes to a land owner and asks to use the land and plant some crops on it but says he doesn’t have any money, can you help me?  The owner says yes, but you give me 10% of your crop when you are done.  When the man brings the 10%, the land owner is happy and now the man can use the land again but if he cheats the land owner he will not get that land . Now he is going to plant next season so he takes seed out for the next planting, that’s the offering.  The man has a neighbor who did not do so well and he feels sorry for him so he takes some of the seed and gives to his neighbor, that’s alms. We know that when you plant a seed in the ground it brings forth more than one seed, if it didn’t how could you survive?  The scripture shows us that the things of the Spirit are clearly made manifest by the things of the flesh, by the natural things we see.  Therefore you are not going to plant in the ground if you don’t expect to get an abundant harvest so that you can exist and survive. So, you take care of the land owner, those are your tithes; you hold  back seed to plant, that’s your offering; and the alms are what you give to those in need.
  • The alms are what God really looks at. Remember Cornelius and his household whom God said thine alms have come up to me as a memorial?  God wouldn’t have said that if he hadn’t first done the tithes and the offerings.
  • God is not going to be mocked. If you sow to the flesh you will reap to the flesh. If you sow to the Spirit you will reap eternal life.
  • This ministry is based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the love of Christ one to another and sowing to the Spirit is part of brotherly love whether it be in offerings or tithes or in alms..
  • We have been blessed and yes it has been hard but trials strengthen our faith.   A prayer that everyone in this ministry would strengthen their faith praying in the Holy Ghost, praying in their understanding, serving and loving one another and sowing to the Spirit and not to the flesh.  Amen
