Subject:

  • Read and Stay in the Word.
  • Prayer is something that we all need for ourselves, as well as for the brethren that we might fight this battle and learn to do the will of God. Remember to pray up, so when a situation comes you are already in that prayer mode.
  • We’re to keep our heart and mind stayed up on him. He is our hope. When you are already practiced in lifting all things up to the Lord, it is something you continually do and therefore keep your mind stayed upon the Lord.
  • We have to know that the word of God is true and that we can do it.
  • If all you do is come to Bible Studies you kid yourself, you have got to get the word in you.
  • What do you believe? The only way to know you believe is to know the word. It matters what you believe!
  • If you only read the new testament, you are missing out on what the people in the new testament had learned. They only had the old testament at that time.
  • The very hope that they came to know is the very hope that we need to come to know.
  • It is easy not to have faith. The high calling of God in Christ Jesus is to believe God.
  • We have the written word that we are able to get into and know the word of the Lord, His promises, His ways the Gospel. It has been the same since the beginning, by faith we are saved.
  • When we look at the people in the Old testament we should take hope, that God has always and does fulfill His promises. We need to come to trust him.
  • Jesus is the only way, He was the only way for Adam and will be for the last person standing.
  • We know that the law was given as a schoolmaster, to show us our need for Jesus. There was testimonies that the law would be fulfilled and it was.
  • It is all right there; the hope, truth, sacrifice, provision. It is up to us to know the truth, believe it and do it.
  • We need to choose obedience no matter the circumstances. That was the call in the old testament, the new testament and today.
  • You’ve got to know the word then the Lord has something to work with you in you, and when you hear the  word He has something to quicken in you.
  • You can trust Him, read the word and ask him that it will dwell richly in you and know that he will perform it.
  • Those we look up to did this.
  • Study: there is a not wasting time when we do this. When you read the word we need to be quick to put it into practice.
  • Study to shew thyself approved unto God, not to man or any other thing. Our approval comes from the Lord not from man.
  • The only way to rightly divide the truth is to apply  it to ourself and get up and walk in it.
  • The only way to learn is by doing, when children are learning to do a thing they are looking at the end, at what will become by their practice. That they will crawl, walk and talk.
  • You need a humbleness that you won’t start off doing it but a hope that you will learn. Don’t get hung up on our failures if we do we will not get to the end that the Lord would have us to. When we do this then we can minister to others.
  • Preach the Gospel being in season and out of season. We each have our own testimony of the things the Lord has done for us. That is the only thing we have to preach is the gospel. If we know the gospel, we know we are sinners and only are saved by the blood of the lamb.
  • When we live out the testimony of the Lord and the gospel we give proof of what Jesus has done for us. Therefore others are able to see it and believe it as well. Our testimony should be Jesus has set us free as the Gadarene demoniac’s testimony was.
  • Another benefit of preaching the gospel and what the Lord has done for us, it is a reminder to us that it was Jesus who has done those things and not anything we have done.
  • If we share the gospel with someone and they don’t accept it, it may be that they later accept it from someone else. It is not our job to inspect the ground but to sow the seed.
  • Testify that which we know.
  • We have got to learn obedience to the commandments of the Lord. Be instant in season and out of season, preach the word, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. To stay the course for others.
  • That which we know, let us bring it into obedience. Reprove people, rebuke that which is not of the Lord. Exhort is to call them near to the Lord and we don’t get tired in doing so. Stay the course.
  • In season you feel like it, out of season is when you don’t feel like it. Powerful things will happen when you are being obedient to the Lord when you preach the gospel in season or out of season because of your obedience.
  • Why do we preach the gospel? So another person can be saved.
  • Why are people long suffering with us? So that we can be saved. That matters!
  • We need to know that we are not anything but the Lord is.
  • Pray for those that may come against you in the Lord. Corie Ten Boom knew God was true and as she walked in obedience the Lord filled her with the knowledge of Him. That is what the Lord is about accomplishing in each of us.
  • Get that word in you, study it. Don’t think you know it continue in studying until the end of your life.
  • You have got what it takes to be saved so what do you lack?
  • May we do what it takes to be His servant in whom He is not ashamed and approved by God.  Amen.
