Subject:
- Unexpected things happen but they are learning experiences giving us opportunities to give the Gospel to people, which is our job, what the Lord Jesus has commanded us to do, to go out into the world and make disciples.
- Are we working to be a disciple of the Lord, working to do the job he has given us to do?
- Every word in the Bible is Jesus’ Word, not just the red letter words.
- One of our greatest weaknesses we have is unbelief, but the greatest power is faith that worketh by love. Love, mercy and grace abound in faith. There is no fear in that love. The world is filled with fear, torment, remorse, brokenness.
- With faith and love we are sure to overcome the things of the world. As you come in line with the Lord, fear is cast out, the Word of God comes into operation in your life.
- The way to overcome is to believe the Word and obey it. Those that believe, love. Jesus loved us while we were unlovable and in sin. He said thy sins are forgiven you. He said it because He loved us.
- How much did Jesus love us? He sent Jesus, not that we would all make it but that we would have the hope of making it, have that choice.
- In military training you learn the person next to you is your brother and you will lay down your life so he can make it. Love God, love one another that way. You cannot save the other person but can share that love of God so he can have the opportunity to be saved, that is love. We cannot do it ourselves but with Jesus we are capable of that.
- If you believe a thing you follow through with that thing..
- If you see a car coming towards you and you believe it’s going to hit you, you do not keep standing there but get away from it. This is the belief its talking about here.
- A lot of people say I believe that Jesus is the Christ but not in this sense.
- If you believe your parachute will work you will jump without question and trust that parachute. If you don’t believe you will cling to that airplane even if it goes down.
- If you believe in this sense that Jesus is the Christ, then you are born of God and everyone that loveth Him that begat, loveth him that is begotten of Him.
- If you are born of God you will love God, you will love Jesus, the first begotten. How hard is it then to love your brothers and sisters who also were begotten? The truth of the matter is that you have to love your brothers and sisters begotten of God just as much as you love Jesus.
- How do I know you love Jesus? By how much you love each other.
- Robin mentioned today that for 38 years I stood for her and loved her and never complained. Can you do the same? Can you stand for me and love me and not complain?
- This is what it’s all about, you’ve got to come to that place where you don’t look at their clothes, their hair or their flesh and what it does or how it acts. You look at that thing God created, that born again spirit, that reborn soul – that’s what you look at, that’s what you love, the rest of it just does not matter. That’s what God wants us to get a handle on.
- If you can love He who begat, and you can only love He who begat by believing Jesus is the Christ and being born again, then you can love those who are begotten, starting with Jesus, and love them equal without preference.
- This is not an easy saying, this does not make our flesh feel good. But our flesh is going to die and go into corruption. Do we want to follow it or do we want to follow the one who was raised from the dead?
- As a promise, He died for our sins, He died that we could live, Praise God! But he was resurrected to show us the promise that we too will be resurrected if we be in Him. And the only way to be in Him is to get a handle on this and walk in it.
