Subject:

  • The Holy Spirit baptism is not always given at conversion.
  • The believers only knew John’s baptism because that is all they were taught.
  • John’s baptism was a baptism of preparation, to identify Christ.
  • After Christ there is a new baptism.
  • The Holy Ghost was given to all believers.  It is what gives the believers power.
  • It is a fact that if we believe on Jesus we WILL do greater works than He did.  The works He did cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, poison will not harm them and they will raise the dead.
  • God is going to share the ways and the truth of Himself with believers into all truth.  A purpose of the Holy Spirit is to guide the believer into all truth, this is something we should hear and believe.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is received by the laying on of the hands of an apostle.
  • The Word says He’s given us His Spirit that we might be led and guided into all truth.
  • The Holy Spirit brings the testimony and the witness of Christ in and through us.
  • When we need comforting we also need the testimony of the  hope in Jesus and that is what the Holy Spirit does as well.  That is why He is called the comforter.
  • If we give heed to the Holy Spirit we won’t be feeling based (meaning our actions are based on how we feel).  He is our deliverer.
  • He is called the Spirit of Truth.
  • A common problem is that we don’t believe that the Holy Ghost dwells in us, but we can believe that He does.  Let’s be believers!
  • We should be dead to the flesh but alive in Him and in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in us.
  • In our flesh dwelleth no good thing.  We dwell by faith in His body.
  • Salvation is solely by the blood of the Lamb by Grace.  There is nothing we can do in our flesh to earn it.
  • We are all under and taught under the tutelage and instruction of the same Spirit.  There is no division in that.  The Spirit is there to teach us.
  • The Holy Spirit quickens the truth and enlarges it for us.
  • If people were really following Jesus Christ, all the churches would be teaching the same thing and there wouldn’t be different versions of the Bible either.
  • God gave us apostles to perfect our faith.
  • The Holy Spirit transcends our understanding and gives us His understanding.
  • The Holy Spirit is never divided.
  • He is the answer not us.  Let’s go to Him and get the answer, He wants to give them to us.
  • The right thing is to go back to the Word and see what the Word has to say.  It is simple to understand, take it as it is written, believe it as it is written.  People make it too complicated.  When you interpret it for yourself you lose the pure Word of God.
  • If we keep it simple we are drawn to Him to understand.
  • Jesus is the baptizer of the Holy Ghost, God is the baptizer of the Blood and the Holy Ghost is the baptizer of the water.
  • Ask and ye shall receive that your joy may be full.  God wants to give us the good gift of the Holy Spirit.
  • The Holy Spirit is the cleansing agent of God.  If He came to guide us into all truth that means he is guiding us out from all untruth and that process is cleansing.
