Subject:
- Leadership of the Holy Spirit.
- Praise God we can trust His leadership.
- We can read these words, but we must believe them. It is easy to believe ourselves and doubt the word.
- The Spirit of truth is received by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all truth. We can set ourselves to know this and give testimony.
- Jesus did nothing of himself but what was shown by the Holy Spirit.
- Acts 10 is where we meet Cornelius. The Lord sent Peter. The Spirit led him there.
- The Lord confirms what He has said and it is always in accordance with scripture to glorify Him.
- Cornelius believed by doing the instruction as it was given him. He didn’t doubt at all that what was heard was from the Lord.
- We need to become quick to believe what the Spirit tells us and then do what we are told to do.
- How many times have we felt or heard or been told by one of our elders that we shouldn’t be doing something and we argue about it and do it anyways.
- Our trust always needs to be in God, in our obedience. He is with us, He is there, He has not turned His back on us. If we will walk as He has commanded us He is not going to let us down. It is a substance of faith. We have to believe Him.
- The people told Joshua they would do as He commanded because the Lord was with Him. That is where we need to be, trusting the Lord is with those over us. In the Lord what they tell us to do is perfect. Not getting hung up on the man or woman but fully trusting the Lord in them .
- Know that He has chosen the proper leaders to us.
- Also God gives us leaders after our own hearts. Our faith and trust is in the Lord and if that’s the case we can trust and follow the leaders He put over us.
- How can we think that we are one of His if we are not going to follow Him?
- If we let the flesh lead us around by the nose, it can get us into a lot of trouble it can kill us. If we allow the Spirit to lead us, then we can put that old man down and become the sons of God.
- God said His son’s sacrifice is sufficient for us to enter into the throne room of God.
- If we will believe the Word of God then we can believe through the Spirit you can, if you believe you can through the Spirit then you can actually do through the Spirit because you believe.
- He gave us His Spirit so in the same manor that Jesus walked we may walk also. We walk because we believe and we know that His blood is sufficient.
- We can ‘t be led of the Spirit without faith.
- If we are led by the Spirit He is not going to lead you by the law.
- Spoke of A Tale of Two Cities.
- We were condemned and Christ took our place.
- The Spirit gives life.
- Quickening is life giving, to make alive, to revitalize.
- The flesh doesn’t profit anything. The Spirit makes alive, it gives testimony of He who is life. He brings the word of truth, of life that is really real.
- It’s easy to struggle to believe and it’s easy to doubt that we believe. But believe! Stand up and walk in His confidence. What hope would we have if life’s dependance was upon us? It must be in Him!
- We must break the habit of allowing our flesh to control us. We have had so much practice in obeying the flesh, but the Lord has given us power over it.
- Fellowship is so important because we get built up. It salts us as we salt them, it sures up our own faith. We get strengthened by being amongst people with the same testimony, hope and knowledge.
- The circumstances may be different in each of our lives but the fight is still the same and it is really to believe God.
- Ask for support with prayer from a brother or sister if we find ourselves struggling.
- The Spirit which raised up Christ from the dead dwells in us, and it is going to quicken us!
- He hasn’t quickened the mortal body to do what we want to do, but to do what He would have we to do.
- Where we had started is not where we are at. He quickens us to grow in Him.
- Paul’s testimony was the gospel of Jesus Christ. He recognized that God made him able to write the letters in the new testament.
- It’s the Lord who gives us what we need to understand His word and then to walk in it and be able to minister. Knowledge puffeth up in vain and kills.
- It is our responsibility to check the scripture and make sure the things we are hearing from our ministers are scriptural. If what they say doesn’t agree with the word it is also our responsibility to bring it to their attention. We need to be willing to humble ourselves and bring it up.
- Jesus paid the price that He might bring us to God.
- His victory becomes ours because of what He did. Has nothing to do with us or what we can do, IT HAS ALL TO DO WITH JESUS!
- It all comes down to believing Him.
