Subject:

  • All people are sinners and fall short of the glory of God.  No one is righteous!  Do not be high-minded in judging one another.   You are as much in need of Jesus as anyone else born into this world.
  • Many churches give people the idea that they are equal to God.  This is a ridiculous concept, one that is dangerous to teach and believe.  God is the supreme creator of all things and we are all sinners.  How is that equal?
  • There is one faith, the faith of God.  His is the faith that delivers us.  His is the faith that endures.  His is the faith that works and heals.  His faith is a free gift that we can learn to walk in by the power of The Spirit.
  • Only the blood of Christ can wash away sin and only the blood of Christ can free us from the bondage of our guiltiness shown by the law.
  • Don’t think that you have to “clean” yourself up first in order to be acceptable to God.  If you turn to God He will meet you right where you are regardless of what your life looks like or what you have going on.  God is an expert at delivering people out of their ugly situations.
  • Jesus walked the earth as a man of flesh and bones, exactly like us except without sin.  He knows everything about what we go through, good and bad.  He was tempted with all the same things we are tempted with and dealt with all the same things we deal with.  Jesus understands all things we go through as humans making Him the perfect mediator between God and man.
  • Jesus said we will have tribulation in this world.  It is a sure thing.  The choice you have is weather or not you complain about it or see it as an opportunity to be strengthened in The Faith. God allows tribulation for the perfecting of faith.  It is through experiencing tribulation that we learn that He is faithful to deliver us.
  • We are deficient and imperfect in faith as sinners.  We can learn to trust in the faith of Christ and what He did on the cross to make up every difference.  We must learn to trust in the sufficiency of His work on the cross because we can do nothing to serve God in and of ourselves.
  • Preach the Gospel!  It is a simple thing that the Lord asks us to do.  Preach the Gospel is to share about Jesus’ death on the cross to cover sin and His resurrection that we might be saved.
  • Seek the Lord continuously and in all things.  The more you learn and know about God and His Word the better equipped you will be to operate in the Spirit and walk as He walked.
