TFM-AZ-Church-ServiceSpeakers:

  • Rick Eutsler, Jr.
  • Sue Eutsler

Scriptures Used:

  • 1 Peter 5:6
  • Philippians 3:17
  • 2 Corinthians 10:5
  • Luke 7:36-50
  • 1 John 1:9

Subject:

  • To believe in God does not make you a Christian.
  • The Gospel is simple.  It is a gift that costs you nothing.  A gift that costs you is not a gift, it’s a payment.
  • Part of the Gospel is the acknowledgement that you can’t do it at all, but Jesus can.
  • There is nothing at all that is redeemable in us.  Your debt is beyond you ever being able to repay it.  The Gospel is that Jesus paid it for you and His blood was and is sufficient to cover ALL of your debt.
  • Luke 7:36-50 – The woman knew her need of a savior and thought herself not worthy of looking him in the eye.  The pharisee thought himself equal to God.  You are NOT equal to God.
  • 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us.
  • If you don’t consider yourself guilty, you cannot understand the grace and mercy of Jesus.
  • I dare you to pray this prayer “I don’t want to be like the Pharisee in Luke 7:36 who considers himself equal to you Lord, show me my need of a Savior”.
  • Rick talked about the cost of holding onto the baggage we carry around with us every day.
