  • Proverbs 28:13-14
  • James 1:23
  • James 4:8
  • Matthew 11:12
  • Matthew 18:21-22
  • John 15:5
  • Luke 14:26-27
  • Luke 17:3-6
  • Hebrews 3:12
  • Hebrews 4

Subject:

  • It is a challenge to face the fact that you are wicked by nature when you want to believe that you are good and OK with who you are.
  • It is our nature in the flesh to think highly of ourselves but the truth testifies against that and we must realize that the truth is the truth.  We have no reason to glorify ourselves.
  • You have to come to a place where you realize you can do nothing without Christ.  He is the one that makes all things possible.  He is the life.  Without life we are doing nothing.
  • Forgive your brother as many times in a day as it takes.  There is no limit to how many times we forgive.  How many times a day has God forgiven you for your daily transgressions over the years?  Probably couldn’t count that high.
  • If we walk after the flesh we will continue to judge others in order to justify ourselves.  This is nothing but arrogance, pride, and selfishness.
  • Going through the motions of going to Church once or twice a week and sharing Bible studies does not give us the stamp of approval from God.
  • Religious people go to Church.  The people of God ARE the Church and are to show Jesus to the world.
  • When you step out in faith that means it’s not about our own understanding or our own abilities.  It’s about trusting God and what it is He can do and that is a violent fight against the flesh to do that.  By nature we don’t want to do that.
