Subject:
- You must go through the tribulations and trials of life in order to be strengthened in faith. How else will you see the loving power of God work for your good to get you to the other side if your faith is not tried by the hard times.
- Of course we get ourselves in big messes that we can’t figure out how to get out of. That is what people do for a living. But we have a Heavenly Father to turn to that knows the way out! He is the redeemer.
- God is good. Even in judgement God is merciful and gracious. This is the loving God we want to seek and know. Seeking God and getting to know Him better is the only eternal security and confidence in salvation there is.
- The goal is to become a friend of Jesus. The path to becoming Jesus’ friend is by serving Him and doing what he asks of you. You must be a faithful servant first.
- If you are going to serve Jesus be prepared for the world to come against you and hate you just as it did to Jesus. A servant is not greater than his master. If you are going to serve Jesus don’t think that you are going to be above being treated the same.
