1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. The only way to love in deed and in truth is with Agape love.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Jesus IS THE truth!
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, (Jesus) and the truth (Jesus) shall make you free.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 Talks about judgment to come but these words stand out… because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
There are consequences to not receiving the love of the truth … 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Truth in the world means say what sounds good, feels good, what gets you what you want, what makes someone think well of you etc.
Gods ways ARE higher than ours! THE truth (not “truth God’s way”, but THE truth) there is a difference… Jesus Christ and His Word is THE truth.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 8 Jesus gave them the truth but they received it not
The truth shall make you free is the one thing that they did not want and would not receive.
The Bible tells us to examine ourselves.
The fruit of the Spirit is love. If you have the Spirit of God you DO have love. If you claim to have the Spirit of God and you don’t then you don’t have Christ.
The Word is very black and white, cut and dry – You’re either for God or against God. The world grades on a curve.
If God approves of you, you’re approveable. Regardless of what man thinks.
When Jesus brings the Word, it is black and white, cut and dry and sharper than any two-edged sword. There is no space for unbelief.
You can’t say you love God and yet walk in unbelief.
He that feareth anything other than God walks in unbelief and does not love God.
You cannot love God if you can’t even love those in front of you.
To love God is to prefer God.
Love is not a feeling it’s an act of your will. The only way you can have the will to love with Agape love is that Christ gave us the will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
