Subject:

  • When we become the servant of God you have stages: child, servant, friend.
  • When you become the Lord’s servant what that means is yes sir no problem. The Lord will then reveal the why, when you begins submitting and not needing to know the why. We really need to grasp being his servants. Come to the decision to be his servant.
  • Obey without question, you can trust God. The Lord’s good, put your trust in him. If you’re about him and his business he’ll take care of you. It’s a freedom!
  • He’s only asking us to trust and believe him. Be about his business and he shows up abundantly!
  • Moses was God’s messenger and the people needed to know that.  Let’s not be the first generation, but the second. Let’s not listen to the old carnal man who is in unbelief and enemy of God and put on the new man that is yes and amen.
  • As crappy and terrible as the situation seems we can still hang on to that promise of God. His promise is true, he’s trustworthy and we can hang on to that.
  • If you don’t have a testimony of him in your life, get one, trust him.
  • Even though we have all the testimonies we can still fall into unbelief.
  • We don’t conform the word to justify ourselves but conform ourselves to the word. Even that isn’t us doing anything it’s simply coming to the cross asking for covering.
  • Know that you’re just a sinner and need the Lord’s mercy.
  • It’s not about what you did that makes you righteous it’s about what Jesus Christ did.
  • The way to receive that righteous covering is to ask for it and receive it.
  • Conforming yourself to the word is believing the gospel and trusting in it with all your heart.
  • He’s the one that gives you the new man, the spirit, his love, his grace, and the victory. So if he’s given us that let’s take it and run with it.
  • We come here o n Sunday mornings to put off all that stuff, to seek the Lord love him and honor him and worship him.
  • When you get to a place where you’re living your life to love him and please him he can commit to you.
  • The putting off of the old man is a choice.
  • Am I going to be like I was yesterday, a month ago or 15 years ago? Am I Lord or is he Lord?
  • If I turn my life over to the Lord, it’s his. It’s his life to live not mine, he’s Lord of it.
  • You replace one with the other (the old with the new), it’s a choice.
  • You’re supposed to be being recreated into his image.
  • God’s not a respecter of person’s, he’s going to treat everyone the same way.
  • If you need grace and mercy you’re going to have wanted to give it. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
  • If the peace of God rules in your heart you’re set free. You’re not resisting him and he doesn’t have to resist you anymore.
  • Become partakers in fellowship with Christ.
  • When you’re doing those things heartily as  unto the Lord you’re going to please those people you’re doing them for.
  • God is faithful.
  • It doesn’t matter what a dirtbag you were, if you can choose to do whatever you will as unto him then he can be set free to reward you. The reward is he doesn’t have to treat you like a servant any longer he can treat you like a friend. A friend he can trust to do his will.
  • When you turn your life over to him and it’s about loving, serving and pleasing him then you can become his friend.
  • If you feel like God’s resisting you you may want to humble yourself.
  • Make the choice to humble yourself.
