TFM-South-CarolinaSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller

Scriptures used:

  • James 4
  • Psalm 51
  • Matthew 7:21-24
  • Philippians 2:12
  • Ephesians 3:20

Subject:

  • How many of us wake up in the morning with the attitude of “Delight yourself in the Lord”?
  • Delighting yourself in the Lord is a choice.  Unless you have people over you who have been through tribulation themselves and who display delighting themselves in the Lord, you will never know how to delight yourselves in the Lord.
  • It is unnatural … you are choosing against your natural man.
  • When you delight yourself in the Lord, submit yourself to Him, you turn over all your rights and all you are to the Lord.  He is far more faithful than any man.
  • When you surround yourself with faithful people who are about the business of working out their own salvation with fear and trembling, you are using one another as a pattern of how this is supposed to look.
  • Pray the Psalm 51 prayer with David and watch Him move … He will.
  • Submitting to God is a choice that denies you your rights and trusts in the provision of the Lord to do everything He called you to do.
  • Tribulation is a process.
  • God does not take pleasure in our suffering, He takes pleasure in our seeking His face and when we get it and give it to others.
  • The only way you trust someone is when you go through a lot with them, going through tribulation is like this.
  • Going through tribulation allows you to learn to resist the devil and know that he will flee from you and know that no weapon formed against me can stand.
  • Whether it be submitting to an authority and trusting them or submitting for the first time to the Lord, it doesn’t come naturally to us, but when you do, expect God to transform you.
  • If you are totally about the Lord and His business, then your provision is guaranteed.
  • Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you.
  • Purify your hearts ye double minded.
  • You cannot be double minded and expect to enter the Kingdom of God.
  • Your motives matter.  It’s not as much about what you do or don’t do, it’s about why you do it.
  • You are going to make mistakes, but you don’t have to stay there.  You have an opportunity to turn back to the Lord and show others the grace the Lord showed you.
  • Everybody can be a subject:  out of compulsion having to do what he does.  Being submitted to somebody you are doing it out of choice.
  • Avail yourself of those around the country who the Lord has provided for you to seek counsel from.
  • God is able to do abundantly more in and through us than we could imagine, if we seek Him.
  • Purifying your hearts and not being double minded is the safety that keeps you from being workers of iniquity that He did not know in Matthew 7:23.
  • When you, by the purification of your choices, by God working in you to do of His good pleasure, you are hid in God … you are covered, and then He knows you.  It’s the only way He knows you and you don’t get there by doing the right things for the wrong reason.  You get there by submitting yourself to His ways, by partaking in His ways.
  • God is good … let Him be good, let Him be your life.
