- Romans 7
- Isaiah 40:31
Subject:
- It is apparent how little the unbeliever sees of things going on spiritually.
- People would rather believe anything other than to believe Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
- We always hope that there will be people who will hear the Truth and choose to believe, however becoming a believer is about free will. There is a place of decision where we are to choose to follow Christ and believe His Word to be true.
- It is our job as believers to help people at the point of decision to see that they need Jesus Christ.
- A lot of what ministering is, is about being there. In order for the Gospel to go forth, someone has to go among unbelievers so the seed can be sown and people may have an opportunity to believe.
- More time for some people to choose to serve the Lord, may mean years and not minutes or hours. So serving Him is about patience, believing, hope.
- Being born again is a lot like being born in the first place. You would rather not come out into the cold with the bright light shining on you. The light in being born again is the truth, Jesus Christ, and when we find out the truth about ourselves and how desperately in need of a savior we are, we don’t like that.
- Going out into the world and not hiding our light under a bushel is not about running around and telling everybody about Jesus. Sometimes it’s the simplest thing where they see that you are different … even if it a simple thing like you are on time or early for work every day of your life, you have a joyous attitude toward your work and employer etc.
- The witness of what Christ is all about is that it is noticeably different from what anyone else out there.
- The Lord allows us to have a testimony to share with people who need to hear.
- We are often too busy trying to do the things that we think are important instead of what the Lord would have us do.
- The Lord will give you whatever you have need of to do what He would have you do. A master has a purpose for his servant and that is what matters, not the servants purpose. A master would not give his servant the things that would have the servant not do that which he should do.
- We want to hear “Enter in, my good and faithful servant”, that means the person who when given a task to do they do it exactly as they are told to do it. They do not add to it or subtract from it, they do it exactly as told.
- Jesus goes up on the mountain and separates himself from the disciples and people.
- If you focus on what the Lord would have you do, you will find that the Lord will renew your strength and you will have a testimony of how the Lord has moved in your life.
- Christ takes you just as you are and begins to work with you on the things that need to change. Those things that need to be changed are not always what the Church thinks are important to change.
- God is in the service – not the knowledge.
- When we see a storm coming we take cover and get out of the storm. An eagle heads into the storm and it attacks the storm. It locks its wings back and it hits the storm and it gets lifted up and soars above the storm. A bluebird doesn’t do this, an eagle does this.
- We have storms coming because things are not getting better they are getting worse. People are departing from the faith (not Church, the faith in the sufficiency of the blood of Jesus Christ) and that is why things are getting worse.
- There is nothing that can stop you from serving Jesus Christ. Step out and determine to serve Him this day and watch the grace of God work and move to bring you the healing, deliverance or anything you have need of so you can do that which He would have you do.
- They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not get weary.
- Do you have the attitude of “I can’t wait to get to work”?
- Man is and always has been wicked.
- If you don’t walk after the things of the Lord, what will your testimony be? Then watch and see the lamp begin to dim.
- It is time for us to stand up and want a new way of living. Repent and change your mind and choose to submit yourself to Him and His ways and follow Him.
- Jesus never promised that if we walk after Him and His ways that we would feel great. In fact He promised us that our flesh/carnal mind is sinful and vanity. Consider those things your worst enemy and cast it down.
- If you are His and delight in His ways, then regardless of whether or not others love you, you will love them and stand in those things that are of Him and trust Him to work in and through you.
