TFM-Northfield-VermontSpeakers:

  • Steven Atherton
  • Megan Atherton

Scriptures used:

  • Philippians 3:13
  • Deuteronomy 32:7
  • 1 Chronicles 16:7
  • Romans 1:16
  • John 8
  • Psalm 51

Subject:

  • Press toward the mark.  Remember the Lord, forget ourselves, and the good and bad that has happened before.
  • Glory in His holy name, seek His face continually.
  • Remember His marvelous works that He hath done in our lives.  This is something we should do continually.
  • How the Lord has worked in our lives – it is His work, not ours.  We all have testimonies to give.
  • We have opportunity to serve Him and receive His wondrous works.
  • The wonders of the perfectness of God’s creation.
  • When we remember His testimonies in our lives, we will be able to share it with others.
  • People are ashamed of the Gospel.  We don’t want people to know we are no better than anybody.  The only thing that makes us different from others is the blood of Jesus.
  • We need to get over the fact we are sinners.
  • Remember the Lord, He isn’t a sinner, walk in the sufficiency of His blood.
  • David rejoiced in the Lord without restraint.
  • Abraham’s great horror of darkness:  he was a sinner and didn’t know how the Lord could work through Him.
  • If we continue in His Word, He will set us free.
  • We go through afflictions which require us to apply our faith.
  • We are only justified by what He did.  We can minister the same grace to anyone.
  • We have not hit the mark, we are still pressing, not satisfied.  We are determined to go hit that mark.
  • That is what it is to love the Lord with all thy heart, mind, and soul.  Extraordinary things will happen every day.
  • When you are pressing toward the mark you have hope in Him.
  • The sense of anticipation of what God will do.  At times God working in our lives may not be fun but it will bring us joy.  It is not in vain.  It can be done in joy because of the hope He gives us.
  • John 8:  the woman taken in adultery in the very act.  He asked that those without sin cast a stone at her.
  • Their own consciences convicted them.
  • The churches want to get rid of this type of sin…this shows they are preaching out of the pits of hell.
  • The church is in captivity to satan.  They are from beneath, not from above.
  • Many believed on Him, and He gave them power to become the sons of God.
  • Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
  • Until you’re free you can’t minister the Gospel.
  • Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation.  You can’t get free until you get rid of the lies.  Get away from the liar.
  • Embrace the truth and get free.
  • He is the only way to get away from the devourer.
