Subject:
- We are going through a press, like cattle go through a press they start off going in a herd but by the time they come out the other end they are coming out in an orderly fashion and in line one at a time. That is what is happening to us if we follow Christ, we are being pressed.
- Follow orders to the letter, do not lean on our own understanding on it so it makes sense to us, we need to do exactly as we are asked.
- Jesus came and died for us and redeemed us because we needed redemption not because we are perfect. If we were perfect, He would not have had to die.
- Our flesh will never feel like serving God. It is a choice we make against the flesh.
- Christ did not come to save the flesh but the soul.
- Do you seek Gods council to start the day or only after things fall apart?
- The real you is not your flesh.
- We cannot be about Gods ways if we are about our ways.
- Too many times we interject our own understanding over what God has given us to do and think and we think we did it right.
- In our flesh dwelleth no good thing.
- Pride can work both sides of the coin. One side is how great I am and how special I am to God. The other side is “poor me, I can’t do anything right” which is rejecting that the power of God can work through you in spite of you.
- Christ died while we were yet sinners. Even at our worst He was willing to die to give us the chance to be saved.
- The law and the prophets are summed up in two things: love God, love one another.
- Make the choice to desire to do Gods will in your life. His will is to love Him and love one another.
- You can’t do anything about how people perceive you. All you can do is seek to serve God.
