• If you claim to believe and yet don’t do what He says to do, that makes you the liar.
• Uriah thwarted David’s intentions with righteousness at every turn.
• The consequences of David’s actions were that he would lose his child, he would have another man (his son) sleep with his wives, and he would have civil war in his own land.
• God used all of what David did to show the heart of the people to God.  The sin that David committed was the vehicle God used to bring out what was in the heart of the people and figure out who was of God and who was not of God.
• Abraham was accounted righteous because he knew he had no righteousness in himself but was fully persuaded that what God promised He would also perform.
