TFM-TexasSpeakers:

  • Bob Hicks

Scriptures Used:

  • 1 Timothy 1:12

Subject:

  • Are you a minister to those around you?  To those who you run into on the street?  We are all called to be disciples and that is a part of it.
  • If you are sincerely honest with yourself you will be able to say you have persecuted, blasphemed, done injury to others.  But Jesus came to give us mercy.
  • Before we came to Jesus Christ we did all things in unbelief.
  • Your old life, (the dead cat), is your old life from the past that does not need to be raised up to bog you down.
  • Jesus presents the truth, satan fights to take it away from you so that you will fall and become his.
  • We all sin every single day.  The world drags us down, puts things before us that we know are not good for us.  In this world we will continue to sin, but we have an advocate, Jesus Christ.
  • Go before Jesus on your knees, repent, ask forgiveness and He is faithful to forgive us.
  • Leave the past in the past.  We can sin enough every day.
  • It is so simple to pray for the things you need, but when you are fighting this flesh it looks and feels hard, not simple.
  • You must believe in and on Jesus Christ.  You must read His Word so you have the tools to combat the flesh and win the war.
  • This is a fight that can be won, through Jesus Christ.
