Scriptures Used:
- Matthew 6:24
- Hebrews 13:7
- Psalm 86:1-17
Subject:
- All of us are going through trials and tribulations to be strong and powerful in His word.
- Brother Davy asked God, “What good am I to you dead?” God replied, “What good are you to me alive?” Brother Davy did not expect that. He thought he was doing great things. We can do nothing without him.
- We spend time being busy but how much time do we spend being fruitful?
- Have we really applied Matthew 6:24?
- We are all guilty of this scripture because we have two masters, God and ourselves.
- We were sold on the auction block and He died for us. We choose Him as our Lord and Savior.
- The word ‘mammon’ means money but it also means material things, worldly things.
- Do we choose what we want to do rather than what our employers want us to do?
- Wives, do we choose to do what we want to do rather than what our husbands would have us do?
- Remember to obey and submit yourselves to those who have the rule over you.
- When those who are in authority in the Lord, give us a commandment, you drop everything to do that because you are trusting God in that person. If that authority is wrong, God will point it out. Example: Abraham was afraid to admit to Pharaoh that Sarah was his wife and said instead she was his sister. Sarah was protected because she obeyed and when Pharaoh found out, he sent them away. Genesis 12:18-20
- Wives like to judge their husbands to see if they’re right or wrong. Husbands don’t get off the hook as they judge everyone.
- If we are Christians, then we are soldiers in God’s army.
- We belong in the army of God to do war against Satan and his minions.
- We are too busy seeking what makes us feel good. If we feel good now, and stay on that track, it won’t be good for us.
- What good are you here to the Lord?
- When you hear and obey the Lord, you’re serving the Lord, but if you put it off you’re serving yourself.
- David trusted God for everything. Can we say the same? Do we trust God for all our needs? He promised us to take care of all our needs.
- If we are not trusting in the Lord, who are we trusting in? God is our source.
- We can’t trust in ourselves to get things done or to get our provisions.
- Make Him the start of your day and the end of your day. He will take care of you. He requires our trust.
- Everything in this world is centered around you but you become a prisoner to yourself.
- They say trust your politicians because they know what is best for you. Have they shared the gospel with one person?
- When you accepted the Lord, you became His servant to please Him and receive, eternal glory NOT EARN, eternal glory.
- You are the only one to make the conscious choice to believe the word of God.
- Serve Him for the joy He has given us. Eternal life.
