Scriptures Used:
- Proverbs 15
Subject:
- We all know there are times when we say something and if we use the wrong tone of voice that we can affect how others hear what we just said.
- When people talk at us in an angry tone of voice, if you answer softly, it will turn away wrath. It can change someone’s attitude. The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good. The foolish don’t put into practice what the wise have told them. The Lord’s Word is truth and food to our souls.
- The Father’s instruction could be your father, or the Lord. One who offended not in words was Jesus Christ. Even though He was hated, and put on the cross, His words were true for all of us to take in.
- Sometimes when we give out that knowledge, people will reject it and not like you for it. Most people, when you yell and holler, will turn you off and just walk away and not listen. The words that we use have power. We know they do, the bible tells us that they do, and it’s what we do with our words and our tongue that can mean the difference between life and death.
- Life is short. Go out and preach the Gospel to every creature. Use your words wisely and think before you speak. Jesus has mercy on us. Mercy grace and peace, none of which we deserve, none of which can we earn. We can rely on the Lord when we have shortcomings and ask Him to forgive us. He is true to His Word and will forgive us.
- Peace: end of the war between us and God. The Lord is good.
