Subject:

• We see 2 Timothy 3: 2-5 all over society and in the world today “For men shall be lovers of their own selves: covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
• In the world evil is being called good and good is called evil and evil is being exalted. Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil.
• Why is this rampant – the simple answer is because people have turned from the Lord, they’ve become lovers of their own selves and want nothing to do with God.
• If we are able to do this we will be able to hold back the corruption and hopefully people will choose Jesus.
• God is crying out but people just won’t listen, they don’t want to hear it.
• God has stretched his hand out over this nation and people don’t even see it, they don’t recognize it, they don’t realize that God is trying to get somebody’s attention.  He has stretched his hand over the world and they don’t get it.
• There is nothing new under the sun.
• We each need to be those lights in the darkness, we need to let that light which is Jesus shine forth from each of us, we need to show others that there is a choice, the only choice they have before them and they need to see that, they also need to see the hope they can have in Jesus, we need to show others a new way of living, we need to show others the Love of God in all that we do.
• People hear the words but don’t get it, understand it.
• Simple – how long you stupid idiots are you going to like being stupid, that’s what simple means.
• Scorners – how long are you going to get a kick out of your delighting.
• If it applies, Praise God.
• Look at the freaks of weather that have been going on for the last few years. People are blaming everything except what the problem is.
• The problem starts with the church, those who call themselves Christians, those who call themselves God’s people.  If they would turn, if they would hearken, if they would pay attention then there’d be hope for the world.  But the church today is too busy trying to conform to the world.
• When asked to start a youth group – the answer, the Word will draw them in; not a baseball diamond, not a video game room.
• Three different times he was asked to start a youth group, three different times he did and three different times the church grew within a very short time and it was all on the Word of God and the Power of God moving through those kids.  Three different times the church elders got together and decided to throw everybody out because it was not going the way they wanted it to and the church ended up dead all over again, three different times.
• The mentality of the churches today is not for God – they say they are.
• They say don’t take the Lord’s name in vain all the time. When someone says God damn is not taking the Lord’s name in vain. No they are just asked God to damn something.
• If you want to put the blame across try agreeing with someone who says God damn a person, see what they do. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses is anything established. Why do they say it? Because they are simple. How long will you love simplicity.
• What does it mean not to take the Lord’s name in vain, it is not what you say it’s what you do.
• When a wife takes a husband’s name and then does not do what he asks, does not do what pleases him and goes off with other men she would be taking his name in vain, and then she will bear the consequences of it.
• When you take on the name of Christ by becoming a Christian, receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, when you take on his name and you do those things that are unpleasing to him and you follow after other gods, i.e. your flesh, then you are taking the Lord’s name in vain.
• There is the God I Am – Jesus – and the god I wish, me.  Which one do you serve the most?
• When you serve the god the flesh, i.e. me, you are serving a false god, you’ve taken the Lord’s name in vain. Our lives should be dedicated to him.
• The churches ought to be preaching this and teaching this.
• The churches should not stand still for the garbage that the government, another god, is seeking to promote in the nation with its priests. There are different categories of priests in the government.  The psychiatrist community is a priesthood to the government.
• MARK THESE WORDS: The day’s going to come when they get stronger and stronger and they’re going to decide whether you’re sane or not based upon whether you believe the government or whether you believe this book, the Word of God, and if you believe the Word of God they’re going to claim you as insane.
• Other forms of priesthoods in the government – lawyers and doctors just to name a few.
• Who are you going to serve?
• Proverbs 1: 33 “But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”
• If you get this now and you take seriously your walk in the Lord, and you take seriously that commitment that you made with him, when you received him you made a covenant with him, a covenant of life that you would serve him and worship him and be his to do with as he chooses.  It’s no longer about you it is about him. And that by walking in Him and doing as he asks, seeking his way and not your own way, you become lights to those who are without.  You become that example that when this time comes and the calamity hits, they’ll have no excuse. But you don’t have to fear it, you don’t have to be concerned about it, he will keep you in it and through it as an example that maybe some can be saved.
• Take this and prayer over it, you may want to listen to it a couple of times, its important, it’s important that you get it.
