TFM-TexasSpeakers:

  • Richard D. Eutsler, Sr.
  • Scott Bishop
  • Bob Hicks

Scriptures Used:

  • Romans 7:1-25
  • 2 Timothy 2:1
  • Ephesians 6:10
  • Galatians 5:1- 5
  • Matthew 7:21- 23

Subject:

  • Praise the Lord that there is grace and He forgives us our sins and He loved us before we loved Him.
  • We need to fight continuously day and night.
  • Although we believe Him and are forgiven we are not deserving but He gives us His grace and mercy and stop the war between the fleshly body and God.
  • As we serve the Lord we will have more trials as He shows us things we need to overcome, and if we listen to His guidance and direction we can we grow stronger in our faith, in our resolution to serve Him, and our love for Him and one another can grow.
  • When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become volunteering enlisted soldiers in the army of God.   The Lord does not force, we choose.   We need training with care then get into a battle.
  • The Military gives uniform, food, weapons and everything you  need to fulfil your  mission.
  • Eleven general orders on enlisting in the branches of the military.
  • Christians also have general orders as seen in Ephesians.   If you know you are a soldier either in the middle of a battle or preparing for one with  general orders, what are you going to do?   Desert and go AWOL or are you going to move forward and receive your training, receive guidance and direction from the elders of the church and seek God?
  • I hope you will choose to train, practice, fight to receive good things from the Lord, to keep the faith to the end and if you do that and are a good soldier you will be called up.
  • Paul is talking to the Galatians who had fallen away from God’s grace.   In chapter one Jewish believers had come from Jerusalem saying to the Gentiles that they needed to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses and when they believed that lie they fell from grace.
  • It goes back to that the gospel of Jesus Christ has never changed, it was the same in the garden of Eden as it is today.
  • God placed two trees in the Garden of Eden: one was the tree of Life and the other the tree of knowledge.  He told Adam he could eat of all the trees in the garden except one and in the day that he ate of that one he would die – that was the tree of knowledge.  The tree of life was Jesus and is the Gospel.
  • When you receive Jesus Christ you receive of the tree of life but if you then turn and eat of the tree of knowledge the tree of life is no good to you anymore.   Thank God for the tree of life because we can repent and turn back.
  • Now he is speaking of the gentiles of Galatia –if you go and accept the legalism that is the Jewish way, the legalism of self-righteousness and religion the Christ is of no benefit, His death on the cross has no effect on you.
  • A Jewish cantor was asked by Richard if he kept the law and he said he kept the whole law.   Richard then asked how often he went to Jerusalem every year to make sacrifice on the altar.   The man said they don’t because there is no altar there, it was destroyed.   Richard then showed him that if he did NOT keep one part of the law he broke the whole law.   If you just do what you can do you think you are more knowledgeable than God and know more than He does?
  • When Moses went into Egypt to bring the Jews out.   That whole group except for two died in the desert.
  • God said to: “Let Israel go, let my son go my first born.”   That Israel was the first born.   Abraham ‘s first son was Ishmael, a son of bondage, but Israel was a freeman, a son of freedom;   Cain & Abel: Cain was Eve’s 1st son and did not received.   Abel was Adams 1st born and was killed, it was Adam’s second born that received.   The children of Israel, the 1st born died in the desert.   It was the second born, the uncircumcised that got to inherit.   God has not changed.
  • When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior you receive in your heart what He did for you and put your faith hope and trust in that not in what you can do.
  • Not everyone who says he is a Christian will make it into heaven.  Then will He profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
  • The key is iniquity.  The first person found with iniquity was Lucifer – pride.
  • Those not entering were not saying Lord you died and I trusted you but referred to what they had done, justifying themselves not justifying God and what Jesus did!
  • A non-believer who tells the truth in the Name of Jesus can heal the sick because it’s not the believer or unbeliever but Jesus who heals.
  • If you a believer, minister in pride will God withhold His blessings from those who trust him?   When you heal the sick etc it is not a testimony to your righteousness it’s a testimony to God’s righteousness and a righteousness as of Jesus.   I’ve seen all manner of sickness and diseases healed and people delivered and none of it justifies me for salvation but it justifies Jesus in what He did and of His goodness.   My hope is in Him as yours should be.
  • I want more faith.   To have more faith we must develop the love of God because faith worketh by love.   Love is the power behind faith.
  • Some people say they seek to believe but their faith just isn’t strong.   Well how strong is your love for others?  Part of loving others is forgiveness, grace and mercy.
  • Do you react to what you see as mistreatment with love or anger?   If anger you’re killing your faith so even that love you had, you have no more.
  • If you can respond in love, mercy and grace forgiving you too can receive that love from God and that mercy and grace and your faith will increase.
  • Richard thanked God through Jesus Christ that He’s given us many examples – one was his daughter Kimberley dying in hospital and doctors saying she would not live through the night, but because God had given him faith and he’d learnt to exercise that love He gave him, she was raised up that night and completely healed and became a witness for the whole hospital.
  • Richard said he wants that kind of witness to be for every believer in Jesus Christ but in order to have it you have to hold fast to that grace that is in Christ Jesus and to hold fast to the tree of life and learn to love one another.
