Subject:
- What is the fruit Jesus is talking about here? The fruit is love. Everything Jesus preached revolved around agape love. Agape love differentiates us from the world.
- Love is doing right for a person. Telling them the truth. If that love in the form of correction is received it is good for us.
- Faith is the only thing we have to offer The Lord.
- Agape is the love received from the Father that we give out. Agape doesn’t feel good because feelings are tied to the flesh.
- Life-sustaining nutrients are available to the branches.
- Jesus’s agape love is the nutrient given.
- Allow the light to shine on you for that true growth.
- If we’re about ourselves the light can’t shine forth.
- David served Saul all the days of his life even though Saul wanted to kill him.
- The Word asks us to lay down our life for The Lord and others. This means serving one another.
- Jesus laid down his life both in service and literally on the cross.
- Serve Jesus and the line of authority first.
- Paul had his own battle to keep the faith.
- There is a cleansing that we need to have to keep the faith and then to stand.
- We are offended at the gospel because we see a brother or sister stand in it.
- It is the blood of the lamb that is sufficient and the flesh wars against that.
- Paul was not any different than us but was zealous.
- He had all shortcomings but forgot those things that were behind because he believed God.
- Coming to The Lord as a child: a child has a desire to do things but is not able. And then they start to walk, and fall. It doesn’t stop them. How often does it stop us? That is a lack of zeal for The Lord.
- We can never move forward if there is a tie to the testimony of our flesh.
- Job is called God’s servant and Job stood before God and recognized how unholy he was. * * * God had him pray for his accusers who were pleased to think they were better than Job.
- We have to put off things and stand, and not be ashamed of the gospel.
- We have to submit ourselves and receive it.
