Speakers:
- Steven Atherton
- Carrie Cannon
- Megan Atherton
Scriptures used:
- Philippians 4:4-13
Subject:
- Find something in the midst of a bad attitude to be thankful for. Put your eyes on the Lord and He brings His joy to you.
- Verse 4:13: hold onto this verse. You get thrown into things you know nothing about. Pray and as the Lord to glorify Himself through you. Ask not wavering. There is no other way but through Him. Ask for strength to pull you through.
- Where do you put your trust? We can’t do things through our own knowledge.
- We have a sound hope in Christ Jesus, even at the moment of our death.
- We get tripped up in trivial things.
- It’s always about what someone else has done. We have our own problems to deal with, and don’t think about others and their problems.
- Grace makes up the difference. Operate in grace so you don’t point out others’ faults.
- If we’re calling others jerks, what does that make us? We do this to make us feel better about ourselves. This is not grace.
- We can only operate in grace when we’re thinking about others.
- When we stand in grace, it’s important to remember we still need to bring people to account.
- We talk about ourselves, me, myself and I. We need to get past ourselves and walk in the light He has for us.
- Pray for others. Ask the Lord to prepare their hearts to receive Him.
- We can do great things in Christ Jesus by prayer.
- Let’s get past ourselves.
- Those things that you have seen and heard, DO.
