The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him. Abraham’s fear of God was rightly placed. We are here to know Him and the power of His resurrection and to learn His ways. He will show those who fear Him his covenant, He will guide us if we allow Him to. God knew Abraham. The thing he asks us to do is to believe Him and then show it by doing His word, by stepping forward. We always fall where we are, but we get up and move forward. It is a reminder of what is acceptable to the Lord which is Jesus Christ.
