Subject:

  • Philippians 3:17- 4
  • Paul is establishing a way that believers should walk.
  • Paul says mark those who are faithful in the gospel and follow them. It is the same today, Brother Davy and Brother Steve. They give us the example of how to walk in faith in Christ.
  • We can not buddy up with those who do not walk in faith but rebellion.
  • Most walk contrary to the cross of Christ which is the entirety of the purchased price of our salvation.
  • Those who walk contrary to it, their end is destruction. Those who do their own thing and refuse to do Christ’s will.
  • Stand in a place where our conversation is in heaven, it is not here by faith.
  • We can be changed from this vile body even here, through faith and obedience. According to the working that He is able. It is our part to submit.
  • He is there in Heaven and if we are in Him then we are there also.
  • We need to not base where we are on how we think or feel. Stand in the body of Christ and put off the other.
  • Our thoughts are only us of we choose to agree with them. We all have stupid thoughts.
  • People should matter to the ministers of Christ as these people do to Paul. The people were Paul’s joy and crown, it is a great joy when people get and walk in the gospel.
  • Don’t be moved off the gospel. We are the only ones that can allow ourselves to be moved.
  • Stand fast and let Him do His work.
  • Unbelief is how we depart, unbelief of the gospel of Christ being sufficient.
  • When we get hung up on our failures it is self righteousness, because we want to be right in ourselves. We are only righteous in Christ.
  • Get a handle on why it is we are accepted in the blood, it has everything to do with Christ and nothing to do with us.
  • If we get in a place where we are wallowing in self pity or such things unprofitable, get with one who will bring the truth in rebuke or exhortation.
  • True yolk fellow, people that are of a like-mind about the same business.
  • Take care of the fellow workers in Christ.
  • Women have a valuable place and are to be recognized in that place. In the body of Christ, Christ is a man, when we have His armor there is no male or female. Which is the word of God for today and until the end.
  • When we may be down, rejoice and it will bring our focus back on Him, rejoice always!
  • In that we can come to know the hope in Him.
  • If we don’t feel like rejoicing or praising God but do it anyways that is a sacrifice of praise.
  • The Lord is at hand, we can walk in faith, trust Him and be able to stand.
  • No matter what the circumstances around us are, we need to stand in faith in the Lord. That stand is not dependent upon us, it relies fully on Jesus!
  • What He has said can absolutely be trusted not to fail, He does not fail!
  • In Christ we have no reason to worry or fear.
  • Careful: Anxious, take thought, or getting hung up on a thing.
  • Everything that may make us struggle, doubt or wonder, lift them up to Jesus.
  • Paul had plenty of things that could cause one to struggle, but walked in the peace of God.
  • Choose the things that are good and profitable for our walk of faith to think on. Meditate on them consider them and go after them.
  • God manifests those who He accepts.
  • What we have learned, received, heard, and seen DO! Paul was an example to follow. We have no excuse, we’ve been given everything we need.
  • We have those here, who are followers of Paul the apostle and Jesus that we can follow also.
  • The only reason why we can do it is because God says He is going to be with us. Stand up and walk in it, don’t question it. It is an act of faith to believe He is here, it is completely contrary to how we feel.
  • When we minister to others or support the ministers it is by faith.
  • Paul learned to be content in whatever he had or seemed to lack. He learned by coming in to obedience and trust in God.
  • We can be abounding in the spirit but still be hungry, knowing that we still need to grow in the Lord and come to know and do more in Him.
  • There is nothing that Paul couldn’t do because he was with God.
  • Where is the complaint ever in life if we are in Christ, it is swallowed up in victory.
  • Paul wanted them to support him not for himself but for their account with the Lord. Well pleasing and acceptable to God.
  • Paul brought a word to them that the people could stand in, trusting the Lord.
  • This whole book has been pointing us toward the knowledge hope and faith in Christ. We trust Him and He does it and gets all the glory!
  • Quit getting hung up on the need for grace. Receive the grace it makes up the difference.
