Subject:

  • Colossians 2
  • Paul’s greatest desire is the people come to know the gospel in it’s entirety.
  • As Paul heard the gospel, he ministered it.
  • He understands the battle and wants to see them stand.
  • The comfort comes together through Jesus Christ.
  • If we will hear the gospel there is great comfort in it.
  • We need to prefer Christ more than anything else.
  • We don’t retract because of ourselves but move forward in the gospel.
  • Jesus is God, they are one.
  • When we have a love for each other, we are of the same spirit. We share a fellowship, desiring to be with one another.
  • The people are mindful of what they have been taught and walk under authority.
  • The love and care of the apostle did not diminish, whether present or not.
  • It is the apostles who perfect the saints.
  • The perfecting of the saints through warnings do not stop, they continue because it is not as if any of us have arrived.
  • Beware of enticing words that may steer us away from the truth.
  • Wisdom and knowledge are found in the Lord.
  • Take heed to the warning and hear the preaching and we can warn as well.
  • There will be people who would love to pull you away, don’t move off the gospel. Get rooted and built up in him! Remember and hold on to what we have been taught.
  • The only way to stand in the right place with the Lord is through the grace and mercy that the blood of Jesus purchased for us. It is a thing to have great thanksgiving for.
  • THE FAITH, there is only one faith.
  • Left to ourselves we would find ourselves in a wrong place. It is up to us not to be left to ourselves.
  • There is no requirements of ourselves or things we must achieve to be able to accept the Lord.
  • Man’s philosophies cater to the flesh.
  • Women need a covering because we are weaker, it is not a cut. Eve was easily deceived, that is why she was put under Adam.
  • There is nothing we need outside of Christ. He is everything and has everything we need. In Him we are complete.
  • We need to exercise ourselves in the knowledge that in Him we are complete.
  • When one is baptized, we die to ourselves and now are learning to live in Him.
  • Everything that was against us is GONE!
  • God forgives us of ALL trespasses not just past, present or future but ALL! We need to stand in that.
  • In Jesus we are delivered from this world. He asks us to trust and obey Him. He has given us the same Spirit by which He was perfectly obedient to the Father with. It is available to us as well.
  • Don’t let anyone beguile us of our reward.
  • We put on the mind of Christ, He alone is the head.
  • We need to be hearers of what comes down from the apostles and prophets.
  • From the head the whole body gets nourished. It will only happen when we come into obedience to Him.
  • The Lord is able to bring us to the place where He can present us perfect.
  • Men’s traditions are satisfying to the flesh, it seems right, but it is all vanity and about man. It has nothing to do with Jesus.
  • The beauty is in Christ who makes all things new.
  • We need to take hold of the gospel and let it work through our obedience.
