Speakers:

  • Robin Atherton
  • Ann Eutsler
  • Karen Hocker
  • Megan Atherton

Scriptures used:

  • Romans 1:16
  • Romans 2

Subject:

  • It has always been about the same faith, hope and sacrifice.
  • There is a place for judgment, we judge things all the time, for example: ; the foods we like etc… Judging a person to condemnation is wrong. As sinners where is it our place to judge another, whether they  are going to heaven or hell?
  • We need to recognize our salvation is solely on grace.
  • When condemning another, it is thinking we are better then they are. We are no better, we are all sinners.
  • God’s judgment is going to be righteous in that day that He judges.
  • The one reason God would welcome us in is because the blood of the Lamb, that is the only difference between believers and non-believers.
  • We need to judge righteously which is according to the gospel.
  • We are not going to escape the judgment of God.
  • The goodness, forbearance and longsuffering of God is there as an extension of grace to give us time to turn around or repent for judging in unrighteousness.
  • His goodness leads us to repentance.
  • When a person judges another in a thing in unrighteousness, we usually fall into the thing we have judged another for.
  • There is a great need for mercy to receive it and extend it.
  • We are all the same, we are all too evil on our own.
  • The blood of the Lamb washes away our sin and God doesn’t remember it. Those who don’t have it, are going to be judged and cast into the lake of fire.
  • Our sins are forgiven, so we can continue in well doing which is obedience to all that is God’s.
  • There is a lot of people who claim the name of Christ, but yet do not know Him.
  • We need the fear of God to come upon us to give us the wisdom to turn to God. If we do, so our end will be glory honor and peace.
  • Jews and Gentiles are both the same in Christ.
  • There is no respect of persons with God, He respects our faith. God is righteous and we are not.
  • We are unrighteous, so who among us can judge another one who is unrighteous?
  • We need to stand up only because of what Jesus did.
  • God created man for fellowship with Him and He created a plan for us to be able to have it.
  • The law was only there to show us our need for the sacrifice of Jesus.
  • We can say a thing but unless we do it, it means nothing.
  • We are just when we do His will. But if we only say it and don’t do it there is no benefit.
  • We are just before God because Jesus is just before God and we are in Him. Not seeking our own righteousness but Jesus’.
  • Jesus manifested God perfectly when he was here as a man.
  • Our salvation is in that blood only.
  • Paul was given the gospel to minister to the gentiles, his gospel was that of Jesus Christ, not adding to it nor taking from it.
  • The secrets of men shall be judged by the gospel.
  • There is a witness in God’s creation, if we will hear it and see it. It is there for us to draw us unto Him.
  • People can have the truth trained right out of them. Though still knowing what is right, being shown and allowed to do wrong, they continue in that.
  • Knowledge can become an idol, we need to not allow it to puff us up.
  • If we make our boast of the law or our knowledge we are an offense to others who then put it on God and dishonor Him.
  • A sinner who knows they are a sinner can be received.
  • We are either of the thieves on the cross next to Jesus, the one who recognizes Jesus’ innocence and sacrifice for sinners like us, or the one who stands to justify himself and condemn others.
  • No one is born circumcised it is an act that is done and is no longer a thing done to men but an act of circumcision of the heart. It is not of the flesh but of the spirit.
  • Jesus was about pleasing God, not man. We have that opportunity to have that same fidelity to God and God alone through Jesus.
  • It is a choice to have a circumcised heart, to recognize the gospel is true and not to judge others. It is easy to become faint in our minds. Don’t stay there but fight!
  • The exhortation that we should be doing one with another is what we need to seek and accept and not allow ourselves to grow faint in our minds.
