Speakers:

  • Robin Atherton
  • Ann Eutsler
  • Karen Hocker
  • Megan Atherton

Scriptures used:

  • Romans 3:1-27
  • Psalm 51:4
  • Job 40:8
  • Acts 23:12

Subject:

  • There is an ongoing battle to believe that the gospel is based solely on Jesus Christ’s Blood and it’s sufficiency for us.
  • There was an advantage being born in the Jewish nation or for now at this time United States of America, they were two nations founded on Christ. That doesn’t mean it profits everyone born into those nations though.
  • The secretaries of the New Testament were Jews except for Luke.
  • Whether Israel believed or not God’s Word is still true.
  • One of the greatest examples of faith was when Jesus went to the cross, was separated from the Father and died for our sins.
  • We have the opportunity to serve Him now and minister to others that faith.
  • We are a people who were destined to a right place in hell, God made a way for us to pass from death unto life through His son Jesus Christ. Faith in His blood glorifies God.
  • The judgment of God is going to be, did we believe the gospel?
  • Our unrighteousness glorifies the gospel, if we walk by faith, even though we are yet sinners.
  • Paul was one who the church, at that time came against often. He preaches and stands solely by the grace of God.
  • Grace is not there so we can stay where we are, but because we can be slow learners.
  • A person who is saved by the gospel sees themselves as a sinner. It is important to recognize we are sinners.
  • Once we receive Jesus there is a responsibility to learn to serve Him
  • Grace is a thing we should come to be dependent on.
  • When we see how we are, we need to press on knowing His blood is sufficient even for us.
  • One who is humble will find grace in the sight of their master, but one who is rebellious will only find resistance.
  • There is not a better sinner than another. Sin is sin.
  • Our coming to know Christ was because the Father drew us, it was nothing we did on our own.
  • In us there is no good thing, but we have a desire to find something good in us.
  • Our natural ways are not God’s ways and that is true for everyone.
  • God doesn’t have a scale of one to ten of sin, it’s all a ten.
  • We need to have an intent to listen.
  • Those who preach a false gospel, their throat is an open sepulcher, any one who receives that will go to hell. The way of peace they don’t know so they gather people unto themselves, not unto the Lord.
  • No flesh will be justified by the law, because no man can keep the law.
  • The law was given so we would accept that we are sinners in need of a Savior.
  • Don’t let chastening stop us, let it become the very thing that helps us to cling to the gospel.
  • If a people are being called to repentance, then that means they are not in a right place.
  • We are all unrighteous, let’s not get hung up about it and trust God.
  • The righteousness of Christ is freely given to those who will believe.
  • Believers are not better than anyone else, it only means we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and are in His grace.
  • Jesus took our place. He puts up with a lot from us. For thousands of years He has been forbearing with us all.
  • We have nothing to boast of, anything good is from Jesus not us.
  • Complete understanding that the blood is sufficient is something we come to learn, which takes forbearance from the Lord toward us.
  • The Lord’s inheritance is what is valuable.
