Subject:
- Justification is only in Christ.
- We have that justification with Christ because we have received that peace treaty with Christ which is His blood and it’s sufficiency. There is nothing outside that, that makes us in right standing with the Lord.
- We come boldly before the throne of grace and stand there by faith through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Serving the Lord is not a lamentation but something to rejoice in.
- If we choose to believe the Lord we know our end is good and therefore is not a lamentation. Knowing that He is with us and has it under control.
- The Lord gives us joy when we delight ourselves in Him. The things of the Lord are good and do satisfy.
- We should rejoice in tribulations because they produce fruit. The ones with the most patience in the Lord are the ones who have been through the most tribulations.
- Patience is that enduring, knowing the Lord is there and He will see us through it.
- Experience is that testimony of His provision, presence.
- Hope is knowing God will be there next time.
- When someone first comes to know the Lord, the Lord’s testimony and evidence is incredibly tangible.
- Hope, when it is in the Lord will not leave us ashamed.
- Betsy and Corrie ten Boom were opposite, Betsy walked by faith, Corrie walked complaint. Then end of Corrie’s testimony became on of faith through the tribulation she went through and the Lord meeting her in it and bringing her through it.
- We need to be patient and longsuffering with each other, some of us take longer than others to get it.
- Corrie asked the Lord for the will to do of His good pleasure, and the Lord gave her that compassion and love. It was through her act of obedience they both were set free.
- At the time that was right in the Lord, He died for us. When we were at our worst. And wanted nothing to do with Him, when we were ungodly.
- We can’t accept Christ unless we accept the fact that we are the ungodly.
- Outside of Christ there is nothing we can do. In Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost, we can do all things.
- God’s love was commended to us before He put Adam in the garden.
- The Passover is a good example of God not being a respecter of persons, all it took was the blood of the lamb to be saved from that wrath to come. The same is now, it is only by His blood, believing in it’s sufficiency to cover us will we be saved from the wrath to come.
- Because He rose we can be saved. We are saved by Jesus’ life, we have that same hope as the resurrection of the dead.
- How great is it, that God provided a way for us to be reconciled unto Him, God is love and love does that.
- Sin came into the world because one man sinned.
- If one does a thing not knowing it was wrong, sin is not imputed unto them. Only when they know the thing is wrong and do it anyway, then it is imputed. Grace covers our sin, though it is not a license to sin.
- We need to strive to do the Lord’s ways, He is righteous.
- Grace covers sin, grace is much greater than sin and that grace is available to all who will receive it.
- Adam had one offense, we have a lot more. Despite all our many offenses it has nothing to do with our place in the Lord. The only thing that can separate us from our place in the Lord is unbelief.
- We get confused and think that grace is there for the good guy, there is none good but Jesus. When God gives grace to the humble He’s not saying they are better, He gives it because they receive it.
- David is a great example of standing in the grace of God. After he sinned, he repented, accepted the grace and went forward in serving the Lord.
- We need to be willing to immediately repent of our sin. As we choose to that we gain an experience in Christ that strengthens us in the sufficiency of His blood, and when we come through and see that Christ is still there it gives hope.
- The offense that brought death came from Adam and Life came through Jesus Christ.
- The law entered so we could see without a doubt that we are sinners, so we can receive God’s grace.
- We have eternal life through the righteousness of Jesus.
- It is important to be held accountable for our actions, but when we are, we know that we are not rejected or thrown out, he gives us grace. We need to be the same with others.
- The Agape love is not one that caters to us feeling good but to the salvation of our soul.
- We need to know we are sinners and walk in the faith that God’s grace is sufficient, and turn from living in guilt from our sin.
- The gospel is sufficient, we are going to fall, do not get down and out by it that is sin.
