Subject:

  • Believers in the early church.
  • The walk of faith is where you believe the word of God.  It is so easy to believe the testimony of the flesh which in turn we would not believe God’s word.
  • We have many testimonies in the word of people who did believe God’s word.
  • The way to set the Holy Spirit free in us is to believe it.
  • The blood and it’s sufficiency allowed the people to receive the Holy Spirit.  They received and moved forward in it by faith.
  • Paul pressed on by faith and in God’s grace and mercy for Him.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is part of what God has for those whom have received Him.  The people in the early church accepted the baptism because they believed God’s word.
  • Cornelius was a man who believed God.  He walked circumspectly to the God of Israel.
  • God has made clear, that the gospel is for all including the Holy Spirit.  The baptism of the Holy Spirit is by the laying on of the hands of the apostles.
  • Paul understood the depth and the utter need for the gospel.
  • The Spirit bears witness to believers.
  • Our natural man will discard the witness that the Holy Spirit bears if we let it.
  • We need to humble ourselves before Him.
  • Abba Father, He is our Father, He loves us and He is approachable, he is there for us.  He wants us to come to Him.  The Spirit cries for Him knowing our need for Him.
  • The law of God is to believe on His son Jesus Christ and to love one another and it takes faith.  We need to exercise faith.
  • It is only by that Spirit that we can love other people’s souls as we should love our own soul.
  • The love of God is not a natural love or fleshly love.
  • What is our overcoming?  Even our faith!
  • Jesus came by water and blood. The water baptism, which Jesus was baptized in by John the baptist, and He hung on the Cross which was the blood.  The Spirit gave witness of the blood by raising Him from the dead.
  • We can only go forth by faith not withstanding what or how we feel.
  • If we are brought before leaders and governors for His sake, not for something willy nilly, He will give you the words to speak through the Holy Spirit.
  • Paul ministered the gospel in the hope of their salvation, as should we.
  • It is not our responsibility to make someone accept the gospel, it is our responsibility to give the pure gospel bringing people to a clear place of accountability to make a choice.
  • Everybody should have the opportunity to be reconciled by God and there is no other reconciliation than that of God.
  • Steven, who was stoned to death, was one of the greatest examples of speaking by the Spirit of God.
  • The Holy Spirit is the comforter.  God has promised that the Holy Spirit will guide us.
  • We are to walk even as He walked.
  • Our natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, so we must not give it heed.  But give heed to the Spiritual man allows us the ability to receive the things of God.  He wants us to have them they are there for the taking.  We just have to believe, take Him at His word.
  • The words the Holy Ghost teaches are tongues, God gives the interpretation of Tongues so that it is profitable.
  • Our own understanding will lead us astray!  We are familiar with our flesh and it’s testimonies, when we come to the Lord we have to realize that our flesh is not the right testimony.  The word of God is true, it is the only thing that is true.
  • Put off the flesh, grow in Him and believe Him.  It is humbling.  It is safe and a gift of God.
  • The anointing which we have received of Him abideth in us, we must believe it.
  • The anointing comes down from the apostles, there are seven all together.
  • Let the Spirit teach you and believe it, war a good warfare.  It is by FAITH ONLY!
  • We need to believe that the Spirit’s performance can wrought good fruit.
  • This is our inheritance in the Lord by faith.  This is part of receiving His reconciliation.  It is up to us to take hold of that power and become sons and daughters of God.
