TFM-South-CarolinaSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller
  • Phillip Walthall

Scriptures used:

  • Romans 13:8-10
  • 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
  • 2 Timothy 1:7

Subject:

  • Recognize the grace and mercy of Christ in our lives.
  • We ought to be showing the love of Christ to the world.
  • When someone wrongs me, do I offer grace, mercy, love and tell them the truth.
  • Do I let people live a lie? Or do I care what’s best for their soul?
  • That agape love is a love of choice, where you prefer others above yourself. That’s what the Lord did for us, do I do it for others?
  • Minister means to serve. How can you serve if you think you’re better than the next person? How can you love when you think you’re better than those people in the world? You can’t!
  • He paid the price for us because we couldn’t do it. He’s the only one that could do that. We didn’t deserve that but He did it anyway. Do we do that for one another? Are we showing the love of Christ to one another or to the world at all?
  • Do you prefer for others’ better state? Do you prefer them above you?
  • He gives you that love and that spirit that you need to go forward in love in Him. You simply make that choice. It’s a lot easier to do when you recognize you need Him. Recognize how much you need Him and how much He’s done for you, then you know that love. That love changed your life, it took you out of the darkest place and you became His. When you can recognize that it’s much easier to love.
  • Don’t take heed to that old man, take heed to the spirit of God. That old man is all about pleasing himself and it’s never satisfied. When you have the love of Christ that is fulfilling, there’s nothing like it.
  • How do you treat one another? Are you loving one another? If you’re loving one another you’re loving the Lord, but if you’re not loving one another you’re not loving the Lord. Are you loving those outside of the body?
  • The Lord’s good and gracious and merciful and He’s done marvelous things in our lives, let’s carry that out. Be as the tree that’s planted by the river.
  • Are you doing things to be seen punching the clock doing it? Or are you doing things seeking to please the Lord?
  • How did Jesus receive you? How do you receive people? Do you give preference to those from the “right” place, “right” town, those with nicest clothes, prettiest children, nicest house, best upbringing? How do you speak to people? Are you ministering to them grace and mercy? Or is your speech instead of being seasoned with salt peppered with judgement?
  • You can do it, He’s given you what you need. All you have to do it take it and go, but you still have to do it. If you aren’t longsuffereing, if you don’t receive people just the way they are then it’s about you, it’s not about God or them.
  • Take what He’s given you give it out, give it away (grace, mercy, love, preferring other people before yourself and your preferences).
  • Know the truth and speak it because that’s love.
  • Put down that wall of preference, do something against your grain.
