Sunday TX – 5/25/2014

We call ourselves Christians. The Lord has given us examples and instructions to what it takes to be a Christian – brotherly love, kindness, meekness, longsuffering. These are hard and impossible to practice at times because our flesh gets in the way. We need to watch our reactions to when someone, or we think someone, does us wrong. People who act as your friend then speak poorly of you when you aren’t around are despitefully using you. You can’t take it to heart, you should not get angry with them but pray for them, which is not natural for our flesh. As we draw closer to the Lord it becomes easier to do these things, but it’s always going to be a struggle in this flesh.
