Subject:

  • We call ourselves Christians. The Lord has given us examples and instructions to what it takes to be a Christian – brotherly love, kindness, meekness, longsuffering.  These are hard and impossible to practice at times because our flesh gets in the way.
  • We need to watch our reactions to when someone, or we think someone, does us wrong.
  • People who act as your friend then speak poorly of you when you aren’t around are despitefully using you. You can’t take it to heart, you should not get angry with them but pray for them, which is not natural for our flesh. As we draw closer to the Lord it becomes easier to do these things, but it’s always going to be a struggle in this flesh.
  • What we do, say, think and pray defines who we are. For us to reflect that we are Christians we must follow the Word and love our enemies. Pray for them and maybe by your example they may become curious to seek out what you know and give you the opportunity to tell them Jesus Christ is Lord and died for their sins, my sins, and your sins.
  • If you continually ask and don’t believe, your unbelief may be why you don’t receive. You need to believe that asking is receiving, seeking is finding and knocking is having it opened.
  • When will we see people walking as they walked in the book of Acts and the power of God in our lives and those around us?
  • We see what’s happening with Lawrence in Africa, why don’t we see that here? It will happen when people believe God is God, know He is God and believe Him, move forward in His word, and come into a relationship with him and know your prayers will be answered because He promised.
  • If you have faith you make a request to God and claim what He gives you. You do this when you wholeheartedly surrender yourself and rely solely on Him. He will cause you to bring forth fruit and His glory will be seen through you as long as you don’t rest in yourself.
  • Faith is for one thing – to believe God. That’s why God gave us faith.
  • All men have a measure of faith but what do we do with it?   He gave it to you so you could believe Him because without faith it is impossible to believe or please Him. What good is a wife that does not want to please her husband?  If we belong to God and aren’t willing to please Him what does He need us for? He will cut us off like the branch on the vine that does not produce fruit and find those who will please Him.
  • God gave Adam a wife as a help meet. If I’m serving God and my wife is serving me then as a unit we please God. If I’m trying to serve God and fighting with a wife all the time then how can I serve God? This is truth. If we are to please God then we take what God gives us, which is faith, and use it to believe Him.
  • The law of sin and death is in this body which will die.  As you grow older in the Lord you begin to realize there is a finality with the body. If you are fortunate God gives you the understanding there is not a finality with the soul.
  • When you move out of your body are you going to move to live in Christ in heaven in a new body or get a resurrected putrefied body and live in hell and fire?   It’s your choice.  God has given you what you need, a measure of faith. You have to take it and point it to God in heaven and believe His Word or use it to believe the flesh.
  • The law could not save me, it convicts me. To be carnally minded is to look at the natural and judge by the natural.
  • If I look at myself in a mirror I don’t like what I see but if I look in Jesus Christ and I see me through the cloud of the grace of God and by His blood and His mercy then I can rejoice and say yes Lord, I can please you Lord. I can do all things in you Lord, because it is not I in this body of flesh and death, but it is you in the Spirit with the Father together with my spirit that has given me new life that lets me live in you that does all things that you command me to do.
  • To be carnally minded is to judge yourself according to the flesh which says guilty, guilty, guilty. But if I judge myself by the Spirit of God, by the covering by the blood that is on the door posts and lintels and by the cloud of grace then I can say righteous, righteous, righteous.
  • Do I believe God and what He says or do I believe the flesh and what it says?
  • To those listening, most of you want to walk the way God wants you to walk, to say to the sick be healed, rise up and walk, receive thy sight, be delivered of that cancer, whatever it may be. You cannot do it if you judge yourself according to the flesh, or if you walk in a carnal mind. If you can lay that aside and take that faith that God has given you and bring it together and focus that faith on believing God then truly you can do all things in Christ Jesus that will strengthen you.  When you see sickness it will flee from you, and you will see devils and they will tremble.
  • Satan attacks me constantly and I laugh at him. He has tried to take my voice for about 20-25 years. He has not taken it yet and is not going to because I’m putting my trust in God, I’m putting my trust in Jesus, in His power, in His blood, in His Spirit and I will not accept anything else but -yes Lord and bless you Lord.   Let the carcass die I don’t care. I will still be alive.
  • Understand the righteousness of law will not help you. Judging yourself by the law or seeking to live by the law or seeking to live as the world wants to see you live, will not save you, will not get the job done. That’s carnal, walking after the flesh.
  • What are the things of the Spirit?  All things are possible for them that are in Christ Jesus.  All things work together for good to them that love God, and are  called according to His purpose. You’re not called according to your purpose but to His purpose.
  • If He called you to be rich He didn’t call you to be rich so you can spend it on yourself. He called you to be rich so you can help further the Kingdom of God. If He’s called you to be poor, He didn’t call you to be poor in yourself but rich in His Spirit, rich in His love and rich in His power.
  • Brother Lawrence travelling in Africa for the Ministry in the Lord and is learning and teaching. He’s learning what I’ve been talking about, that when you step out in faith to do that which glorifies Him, God meets you in that moment and in that place.  He’s in a land that’s probably never seen the true power of God nor heard the true Word of the Gospel because the missionaries that went there didn’t go to set them free but to make them slaves unto themselves.
  • Wherever you are you don’t look anywhere for your provisions but look to Jesus Christ. Look to God and He can work miracles in your life, if you take your faith that He gave you and put it in Him and not in governments or organizations or man or the world.
  • I don’t want people to put their faith in me though my life has been full of the blessings and power of God and will continue to be because I choose to mind the things of the Spirit and not the things of the flesh.
  • Your flesh can’t please God so why try? Why waste your time and effort? Spend your time seeking those things that are above and believing God and let Him worry about the rest of it.
  • Faith is a gift from God and has one lawful purpose – to believe God in all things.
  • When you are confronted with someone who is ill and the thought hits you that you are not worthy – that’s carnally minded. But when you say I am worthy through Christ who shed His blood for me and died on a cross and has given me a new life in Him and through His Spirit, I am worthy, therefore be thou healed.  Use that faith to believe God, it has to come to pass. If you’re a believer you have to use that faith for yourself.
  • The hardest place to see God move is in the church because the church is carnal and it is time it stopped being carnal. Turn loose from the carnal mind and start looking in the mind of Christ.
